View Full Version : Are Black Guys Initimated by the Show?

Now, I will preface this by saying that having a representative sample of Black Earl (minus his Cherokee roots) and Franklin (who I have it on good authority is at least 7/13 parts black) probably doesn't allow for an accurate extrapolation to the population at large, but what is it with black guys on this show and the nervous fake laughter?
I like Earl. He seems like a very nice guy. However when he tries to interact with Ron and tell a story he has to punctuate every sentence with a laugh, when nothing funny has been said. His O&A stories would get 5 words in before his bellowing with fake laughter... at something that he himself his saying, and after every damn line.
Franklin does the same thing. He starts laughing at nothing funny being said, and laughing at himself while talking. The guys have mentioned it in the past I believe, but he continues to do so. Yes Dave, perhaps you are the homoqueersicle, not me. ::creepy Mutley laugh::
Perhaps my own racial bias is showing through. Are white friends of the show also nervously laughing, and my own spic/whiteness cannot perceive it? Am I crazy in my assessment? Does it bother anyone else? Is this me just being a homequeersiclehaterade drinking ronfez.net shit poster? Anything?

Yes, as usual 2 people represent the whole race.
And earl isn't a fair representation of any group.
And after seeing that odd franklin dancing clip I seriously have no idea what's wrong with him.
What about that black intern? He didn't seem to have any issues, or the old blck female one, what was her name? They had no issues interacting like human beings.

I heard if a black guy turns on a radio and there isnt someone rapping on it in the first 20 seconds they change the station. That might explain it.

The thread was fairly tongue in cheek. I already mentioned the small sample size.
Also the other black intern was "passable" right? I think we have to rule him out.
Keisha was great on the show. Hmm, perhaps only black males?

Dave does the EXACT same thing EVERY TIME he pipes up on mic and is a main reason why I can't stand him as on air talent.
Why does he giggle like a bitch when he talks?

The last black intern they had was pretty confident. I think you just picked two black guys that have a serious man crush on Ron. Fez and Dave aren't exactly all balls of steel when they talk to Ron either.

He does get nervous when no one is paying attention to him for more that 1 minute. Like yesterday he just yells "SPEAKING OF ACID I HIT 10 3 POINTERS IN A ROW!!!" It's unsettling at times

I wouldn't mind if he didn't have to hog mic time and butt in every time Ron looks to Fez to speak. I love me some Ronnie B but Dave's increased mic time is ruining my listening experience. So, that's something I have to deal with. Perhaps I need to find a new show?

This confuses me. Either you are a spic or not. I think we can all agree that after the last Presidential election there is no "slash" white.
