Just get married in the Caribbean. That's what I did. It was a great excuse for a wedding, and was surprisingly cheap for a wedding.

You really cannot go wrong no matter where you go, BUT GO TO ST MAARTEN.

The island is fucking amazing and I once got to see 8 topless Brazilian girls in g-string bikini bottoms playing soccer on the beach. It is the single greatest memory of my life.

Barbados is gorgeous, but really, really expensive. Dominica was a great little island and not super touristy yet. Martinique is another breathtakingly beautiful island, but I think getting there is expensive.

Stay away from Western Caribbean. Most of the places are super touristy and kind of boring (I say this even though I went there on my honeymoon and am going back in January).

The US Virgin Islands are great, but St. Croix is kind of run down. I've never been, but the British Virgin Islands are supposedly great, too.

You really cannot go wrong in the Caribbean. But I highly recommend St. Maarten. There's two completely different sides to the island and the people are great.

If you're looking for something really unique and different, check out Vieques. We went for a week, went to 7 different beaches each day, and every beach was basically completely different than the other beaches. It was fantastic, and unlike anything we've experienced anywhere else.

I could go on all day.

If I remember correctly you are an outdoorsy kind of person. Try the west coast of the Yucatan, stay south of Cancun in a place like Puerto Aventuras. Then you can hike the Mayan ruins like Coba and Telum. Plus, the beaches are great and you stay away from the more touristy parts.

Belize is supposedly great (going there next year), as is Costa Rica.

If money is tight, check out the Dominican Republic. It's really cheap, but lots of fun and beautiful.

Yea, Belize is in my future, just not next year. Been south of Cancun on the Yucatan 10 times in the past 8 years and Puerto Aventuras at the Catalonia is by far my favorite.
