I have sun blocking curtains, so it's pitch black when I'm sleeping and I've moved my bed to several different places since I've been here and sometimes I wake up night disoriented and don't know where the light switch is.

This summer I woke up and walked around my room in the dark looking for the switch and tripped over the cord to my air conditioner and broke the outlet and pulled the grounding pin from the plug.

I'm gonna set it up with a lamp with a red light bulb and I'm hoping this will allow me to wake up like a normal person to take a overnight piss.

You'd be surprised how much light there is at night. I'm a big fan of sleeping in total darkness. Sometimes at night you can get a lot of light.
