Ok, my family has all had H1N1 and I'm working 7 days a week and I haven't had much time to prepare, but we're going to do a LIVE Weird Medicine Nov7th at 9-12 on the SNV!
I've got the whole regular crew coming: PA John, DoubleVasectomy Todd, Jefferson the Shyster, and Rob from Elizabethton. Rich Vos is scheduled to appear, as well as Heather Height, Big A, Foundry Music Jeff, and a more. We'll do a tribute to Barry The Blade in the first hour, too and an H1N1 update and tons and tons of your phone calls.
I'll be even more slack than I have been in answering questions here on this forum. Once Nov 7th is over, I'll try to get into a regular routine of question-answering. We're going to be on a lot more regularly on 202 for the next year, it seems, so I really want to be more available to everyone here. Empty promises, I know, I know, but I'll at least try to do better. :-)
I can't mention my cafepress merchandise on the show, nor can I archive shows on my website anymore. :-( But you can find the merch at http://www.cafepress.org/weirdmedicine and if I find someone who IS archiving the show, I'll at least post the website here.
Thanks for your continued support.
your pal,
steve

Sorry to hear the whole family was ill; hope everyone's doing better.
The fact that you're doing a live show, however, is GREAT news!
Congrats!
Can't wait.

Fuck sakes the Sirius/XM management must have astoundingly small cocks! Its amazing how fucking paranoid they are about any outside activity that they can't control. Live From the Compound, Little Yimmy and now you not being able to whore out mugs and t-shirts......all muzzled because some shit stained weasel can't corporately molest it.
Good Luck Pal.
I will be listening.

A deep bow to Dr. Steve (and PA John, of course) for not only his live show but also his appearances on Opie and Anthony and Ron and Fez.
Great job, buddy.
I hope they find a permanent slot for you.
This show is too good not to be picked up.

I really really enjoyed your live stuff Friday afternoon and Saturday night.
Fess up, was your wife really in there when Ron was berating Earl about blowing God?
I was rolling with laughter when Ron said, "I'd even give him some ball action."
It's amazing how quickly 3 hours passes when Dr Steve, is doing Weird Medicine.
Great job guys. I can't wait for more.

The hooker/STD issue would have been interesting to hear. Will it ever happen? If not, can Dr Steve give us an idea of how a hooker does manage to avoid STDs?
Mathematically speaking, it seems quite unbelievable to think that a hooker could do their job and remain STD free, if one considers the quite significant percentage(s) of the population that have different STDs (like the stat about how 20% of the population has genital herpes, though the majority don't even know it, or a similar proportion having HPV, or similarly startling numbers for gonorrhea, etc.).
Condoms don't protect against all of these - so how do the hookers do it? :surrender:

yes she was...I had to back away from the mic and tap out during that segment. I may still be "seeking" but I'm not crazy :-)
Tacie refuses to run the "Tacie" character by actually speaking on air. She had a mic on her the whole time, though. You could hear her laughing a few times...she's a good sport.

We WILL do that segment someday, possibly on the prerecorded show. One of the things I want to do is get a good portable recorder to do some interviews like this. If I go to THEM, it keeps them from having to come to ME.
Any suggestions from anyone on good portable broadcast quality recorders?
