My first job when I was 14 (about the time I started smoking) was as a DJ at a crappy

adult contemporary am radio station. I had a weekend shift all alone, so I bought a book

of papers and started tearing up camels and re rolling them. Joints have always been my

preferred method. And I have got high many times by being the guy with papers who

could roll one, always had a book of 1.5's in my pocket at every party.

Joints are much more convenient particularly when being out and about. Even though cops in these parts are fairly 420 tolerant I still don't want to be stopped with my bag of goodies (pipes, filters, stash, etc.).

For me its much easier to buy when I'm in Vancouver where its practically sold out of 7-11's. Don't want to carry it for the flight home so just pop it into a fed ex envelope and send it to myself.

Always been scared to ship it, aren't you scared to send it to YOUR address? I grow because I can't afford to buy the stuff that is as good as I can grow. I am hoping to get my indoor setup running again this winter for an endless supply. I would save so much money. I get tired of going through the process of getting it which seems to be a perpetual problem considering how much my wife and I smoke.

We (Canadians) don't have the same issue with crossing provincial (aka state) lines in the sense of it contributing to a criminal charge. Because its not leaving the country there's no customs inspection so not worried about it being sniffed out. And since its a domestic shipment while its in fed ex's custody it never makes contact with any bonded shipments that might be headed to the US or overseas. While there are some restrictions on agricultural products being shipped from one province to another something as small as a fed ex package would never be flagged for that kind of inspection. And even if it would be discovered I'm never shipping more then 30g at a time. Since it would be easy to prove that I'm not transporting it for the intent of trafficking the absolute worst I'd get if I ended up in court is a $300 fine.

If it were to get intercepted by the cops and they'd want to search my house go for it. No criminal activity here.

I always have a inner chuckle when I sign for it. Think it would have made the movie Cast Away a little more interesting if one of the packages Chuck found was filled with herb.

Was just thinking that probably the biggest risk I face in shipping this way is my employer finding out since its their fed ex account I'm using. I have a pretty cool boss in what he lets me slide through on my expenses but don't think our lawyers would want to be party to shipping (even in small quantities) illicit drugs.

I'd be inclined to avoid galvanized since I think (could be dead wrong) its more likely to leach something funky.

This is what I started as a stoner project last winter. Still need to finish it off by either flaring out the end so it will fit a screen or find a way to mount a bowl.

all metal homemade bowls have a very metallic 'taste'.

that said, try thicker fittings so the metal doesnt get hot as fast

My ex father in law used to have a catalog of lamp and chandelier parts. He'd make bowls out of the pieces. It seems, many of the metal bowls you buy in head shops use the same parts.

do not use galvanized. the coating is Zinc and it is toxic. Use yellow brass, you can find everything at the Home depot. for about 8$. I have one i made, I will post a pic later
