I am so fascinated with the whole space program and living near NASA helps. My best friend's neighbor is a mechanical engineer with NASA and gives the final approval on all the tools going up plus just worked with the Russians on fixing that urine recycling thing.

I think NASA and the US Space Program is one of America's greatest legacies.

p.s. very cool about your friend's gig

It is and we need the funding to continue. That is one of the few things I can not speak ill of GW, he was funding NASA.

Yea, that guy is really neat, fun to talk to, and very bright. It's fun when I get to see him and of all the neighbors to have, I'd want him next door to me.

Absolutely the funding needs to continue. There's an obvious direct benefit to continued space exploration but also the peripheral inventiveness and innovation that a science centric program like NASA fosters.

As for cool neighbors you've got me trumped. The assholes next door not with standing everyone close to me is fairly boring. Accountants, doctors, dentists, etc. The most intriguing guy is about 6 houses down who works for the local police in their vice unit. As Doug Stanhope would put it his job is to kill everyone else's buzz.

There's an easy answer to the healthcare problem. More people need to die to free up the resources we have.

Yeah right.

People flying in machines and walking around in space.

Fucking Wikipedia is so stupid.

If we got rid of healthcare all together and let the sick people die I think that would solve a lot of our problems. Natural selection my friend

Missed it. I forgot that was today. I've recently started watching the Shuttle launches and landings. It's really fascinating.

Is it morbid of me to watch it like Nascar, hoping that nothing bad happens but secretly wishing that if it does, you want to be there to see it?
