For me lately, pain, both physical and emotional, always seems to work out in my favor. Consider these examples:

I had some blood drawn last week and after the needle came out I blacked out. I cant tell you how awful that feeling is when you cant see anything when you open your eyes, your covered in sweat and your stomach is doing flips. But when you come out of it, it's the most refreshing feeling ever. A moment of clarity if you will........


I got pretty close to this girl over the summer but things didnt work out. I spent a lot of nights thinking about it and got no where. But you learn from it, it makes you stronger and you are more confident in the long run.


I was plucking hairs from my asshole last night. It hurts a lot when youre tugging on it, but when you get it out it actually feels pretty good.


I'm not advocating a life full of pain. But regular doses of pain seems to work out in our favor. We learn how to cope, and that helps us live more fulfilling lives.

I pass out about 75% when I get my blood drawn. I have never felt a moment of clarity. I always feel pure embarrassment, especially if I puke when I wake up.
