Dr. Steve,

As of late, my antiperspirant/deodorant hasn't been working as well.

I sweat heavily from the armpits, not so much from other areas.

After a couple months of dealing with other medical issues, I'd like to think this is something that stems from that, but I just don't know.

Two shirts all the time. The undershirt gets soaked and the top shirt is now showing sweat marks.

Help!!!

Thanks,

John

John:

I'd need to know more about your other health issues to comment on that, but I may be able to help with the pit sweating.

The only substance that is known to consistently decrease sweating in the pits is aluminum chloride. Some people are loathe to use aluminum salts because they're afraid they may cause dementia. I believe this stems from the fact that aluminum has been found in plaques in some alzheimer patients' brains. Indeed, one landmark study showed that an increased intake of aluminum may be a risk factor for dementia. One crap study from 1990 showed a possible small increase in the risk of Alzheimer's in people who use aluminum deodorants.

The reason I tell you all this is because you need to be well informed before you go to the one product that you can buy over the counter that might help you, which is the Maximum Strength Aluminum Chloride antiperpirant called Maxim. If it doesn't help, you can get Botox injections in your pits that will work for up to 6 months (at $10/unit, it'll cost you about $1000/pit...come to TN and I'll do it for $8/unit ) Botox works amazingly well, but it is pricey as hell.

I hate to plug my own crap, but this was the quickest link to Maxim I could find this late at night: http://astore.amazon.com/docsteheafort-20/detail/B0014DQLN2

keep me in the loop.

your pal,

steve

caffeine makes me sweat a lot. wearing an undershirt that is good at wicking moisture helps. I used gillette antiperspirant and i never would sweat. i don't have a sweat problem but i thought i'd offer some advice

Why does one of my armpits smell worse than the other?

Why does one of my armpits smell worse than the other?

because your boyfriend only fucked one of them?

Would that make it smell worse or better?

Would that make it smell worse or better?

i guess that's a matter of personal preference.
