Anyone else find this little lifes situation as annoying as me?
Driving around town and I have the right of way. I am notoriously polite letting people out or into an exit or entrance. Don't know why this is just something I've always done.
I do,though expect the small wave
"Thanks bro" or head tip acknowlding my curteousy. It pisses me off when they just pull in or out and don't give a little tip of the cap.
I will continue to allow drivers but it ticks me off. Anyone else?
Yes not all issues are big deals.
You urban hipsters are probably rolling your eyes. " Car, who needs a car? Tough!

I remember when I first started driving and I let someone pull out of their driveway, when the traffic was really bad. He gave me a little head nod acknowledging my kindness, it was pretty cool experience for a first time driver.
But now I'm like you, I just do it to do it and yea when i don't get that little head nod, it's infuriating.

If I don't get a thank you wave after letting someone into my lane I have a visceral urge to hop up on their hood and go for a steaming dump at the next red light.

Yep, that irks me too. I also hate it when they don't thank me for holding the door for them. I'll usually say, "You're welcome" anyway. Makes me feel better.

I hate it. I am usually polite about such things but there are some places where I refuse to let people in front of me on principle.

Driving has so many annoyances that this one is minor. My beef is with people who change lanes without signaling. I understand that the country is overrun with cars and many will speed up when you signal, but deal with the reality you are in.
I am experienced enough with this issue, I can tell when a car is going to change lanes without signaling before the driver does. My friends, they just never see it happening and get absolutely furious.
I also hate when pedestrians stretch or get a jump on a walk signal. Have a little respect for a machine that can mame you.

I usually perceive snyone entering the road as a potential headache down the road. I usually will do my best to avoid letting people in or in front of me. I know its selfish and infuriating to people in my car (especially women). Whenever I enter a road I just look for an opening and rush in, so that the other people do not have to slow down. When someon waves me in, I rarely even see it because I am not looking for a person, I am just looking at the car and its tires. It might be bad, but I almost do not acknowledge that there is a person in the car. To me its just a big mobile obstruction. Often people I know will tell me that they saw me driving and they were nect to me honking and waiving and I ignored them. Despite all this I am very safe and almost never get into accidents. Whenever I am with someon else driving, I notice that they do not anticipate that another car may come whipping around a corner or a blind spot. I always assume that a car will lauch out from behind a stopped truck, and I proceed with caution. Others do not and they act shocked when they get tee boned.

This is so true and irritating!
It usually happens at 4 way stops or a lot of mall parking lots when the people turning in from the road don't have a stop sign but they will sit there stopped waiting for the people at the stop sign to go. Sometimes they'll wave or beep their horn, I just wave & beep back then call them a moron out my window when they finally pass by. Learn how to drive people!
Now if you are at a red light with a long line of cars and some poor smoe is trying to get out of a gas station parking lot, Ill wave the one car out. They have about 5 seconds to go though or I say fuck it and go. And the 6 cars behind that 1 will just have to fucking wait for the light to turn red again, so sorry Charlie.

Today I got out of work, on the main road through town, heavy traffic cause its around 5.
I see this guy trying to get out of a parking lot, I see no blinker on my side. So of course I assume he has his blinker on the other side to turn into my lane. I stop, flash my lights, I wait about 20 seconds, nothing. He stays perch at the entrance. So I start going again, and when I pass him I notice he has neither blinker on! The guy behind my does pretty much the same thing I did, except he honked and flipped the guy off. He obviously wanted to turn the other way but that lane full the whole time. What an asshole.
Boo to me trying to be nice.

Its safer when its every man for himself! Being nice gets you no where. If you let that guy go because you have a fear he will be upset, you are just as likely to piss off the guy behind you as well, so you will never win any popularity contests. Just go and drive like it is important to get somewhere. Somewhere behind you is someone on their way to a hospital or heard their mother is dying etc. If the guy attempting to get out of that lot is that guy, he will not be lolligaging like you guys are describing. If it was me trying to get somewhere, I'm pulling out wether you like it or not. I don't mean to sound like an asshole, I just find it safer to just get somewhere as soon as possible and get off the road. Being on the road is a lot like having multiple sex partners and your risks are just as great.
