I almost universally hate live albums. Don't like how most of them have some aspect of the sound you can't hear clearly. Don't like the long pauses between songs and all the crowd interaction I can't see. Don't like the singer doing alternate versions of crap. Don't like the "hold it out to the crowd to sing this part" shit.

I'm a "studio" fan through and through. I want to hear how the artist meant it to sound after weeks of recording, mixing, editing, mastering and the rest.

Some of Let It Bleed; all of Get Yer Ya-Yas Out, Sticky Fingers, Exile, Goat's Head Soup and It's Only Rock and Roll. He also appears on a couple of tracks on Tattoo You.

It's meh. It comes off better with some of the "lost tracks" on the Zep DVD. Love that version of The Rain Song though.

How the West Was Won is SO much better.

thanks, man. Actually, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile would probably be a better "trinity", though I still think Beggar's Banquet is one of their best.
