In the weeks since the incident, the girl has been plagued by memories of the assault, confusion and feelings of loneliness, and has received 1,800 text messages from those who allegedly participated in the assault, the source said.

Those messages allegedly include some of the boys begging for forgiveness, praising her physical appearance, and asking the girl not to tell because they feared punishment, such as “an Xbox being taken away,” the source said.
