Postal question

If I purchase a shipping label on paypal and use it to ship a small package, I wonder if I could just drop it in a mail box? I sold something on eBay, and the last thing I sold was in a box like the size of a pop tart box. Figure its like the size of a wrapped up DVD. It can easily fit in a mail box chute, but what I have done instead these times if look for a 24 hour automated postal place and drop the package in the chute they have there. But the post office is a pain in the ass, and I wonder if I could just drop this in a mail box. Anyone know? What would have happened if I did put it in a mailbox? Would it get delivered?

Yes it will get delivered. I do it all the time with video games in bubble envelopes.

You can also schedule the post office to pick it up for free from your house. You can even have them come to the door and have you hand it to them. You can schedule this on the USPS website.

I think you can drop just about anything in the mailbox as long as it's under 13 ounces. Fucking Teddy Kaczynski fucked that up for the rest of us.
