Gravity is the prime issue. If you fire a gun straight on at a money in a tree, and the very instance you fire the monkey drops out of the tree. You will still hit it. The bullet falls at the same speed of the monkey.

I shot a sniper rifle at an FBI shooting range once. 200 yards to target. I actually asked the soldier if I had to take in account the wind and he laughed. He told me just put the cross-hairs on the target and you will hit it, properly pulling the trigger. And I did.

Yea, gravity is constant and built into the scope or adjusted by the user well before going into action.; windage is minimal.
