And it's fucking killing me.

I don't even care about the house. It needs too much work and sucks, but the fact that my parents are in the 60s and losing their house is just fucking tearing me apart.

Fuck you, economy.

Actually, more realistically, fuck you parent's spending and saving habits!

How about remembering the good times you had there, and stop being a baby and worrying about some wood and stone structure that will fall down soon anway. Selfish crybaby

He's a selfish crybaby for worrying about his parents?

How about being less of a dickhole?

I took it as a joke, seeing that I posted in the middle that I didn't care about the house. Either that, or he's kind of being a dick.

It's still not as bad as almost having my doormen strike, though.

That's actually worse than 9/11.

(and I was defending you on the doorman thing, buddy)

insured? may i suggest, arson.

Hmmm... I like this train of thought. And I like fire.

That is not cool. What are their options? Can they get an apartment or a smaller home? I hope they're not going to move in with you--that would be double not cool.

They're moving into an apartment, which is probably much better for them.

True. Houses are hard to keep up. Maybe they'll like apartment living. Still sucks that they're losing their house, though.

I heard there's a local talent show where the prize money is exactly the amount your parents need to buy back the house last minute at the auction

Hilariously, this is what my friend left on my facebook :

"Maybe we can challenge that greedy land developer to a ski race and/or golf tournament to win it back?"

Hmmm... I like this train of thought. And I like fire.

I wanted to torch my house because there was a squirrel in the attic. So I say fire is a-ok.

And, I can't really relate, but awhile back there was a lot of talk about my family selling our house. We fell on some bad times finacially.

Things got better so we didn't need to, but I understand the feeling.

This probably didn't help at all. Sorry.

I'll keep you and your parents in my thoughts.

Boat race with 80's music blasting is the way to go. I'm also wondering if the local manufacturing plant has been dumping chemicals on your parents property and now need to cover it up after that pesky PI was poking around.

But thinking of you and your parents will eliminate the other thoughts!

I don't carry over new people into those other faults.

Why are they losing it?

Need some details here on what's going on so we (I) can decide if it's worth being sad over. Just because someone is losing a house means everyone should get up in arms over it.

I don't expect people to be up in arms about it.

They've run into some financial trouble; partly their fault, partly the economy. They're declaring bankruptcy and tried to work something out with the mortgage company, but they said no dice, pay the full amount and they cannot.

How many years into their mortgage are they?

How many years into their mortgage are they?

They've refinanced quite a few times. They're probably 6 - 8 years into their mortgage now. But the house has dropped in value almost $200k since they refinanced, so even if the bank gave them some sort of break, they'd still be paying more than the house was worth.

Instead, the bank will have a foreclosed, shitty house just sitting there, along with a bunch of other area foreclosed houses. Just seems like bad business to me.

What's it like having Jeff and Missy for parents?

Get Pöyzon Böyzon groupies to kill the PI, Tom Ackers will handle the rest.

Come on, man. I know Underdog already responded to this and didn't make anything of it, but come on. It sucks regardless.

I have the same attitude as you regarding people who die from drug abuse. A kid in my high school died, and, it was his doing, but it still sucks. So come on.
