There are a couple of times each week when the show causes me to wince..... either at Fez's attempts at participation.... or Ron's blowhardiness.... or whatever....

You know, everyone (myself included) thought the show would be so much better once they went to satellite and were free from FCC regulations. But other than a few curse words peppered in here and there its been a steady decline from day one.

And I'm not just pinning this only on Ron and Fez. Look at what the Opie and Anthony Show has become, or Stern too for that matter. It seems like everyone's been mailing it in because there is no real incentive to do anything more.

Do you seriously think that if they were on terrestrial radio and had a ratings book that they had to look forward to every quarter this whole "Fez locking up" thing would have been allowed to get to the point that it has?

For want of a better term, there are no market forces creating incentives to go above and beyond the bare minimum of expectations. Its like Sirius XM is the old Soviet Bloc and we are all being served up crappy Yugos to drive around that threaten to fall to pieces if we take them over 50 MPH.

I wish Ron had a podcast. I find myself listening to the show less and less because I have been listening to podcasts a lot lately. I especially like Marc Maron. After the control of podcast listening, it makes it tougher to deal with the stuff I don't like on the R&F show, like when HTG is in the studio or Fez is talking about Lindsay Lohan

I wasn't crazy about that segment, but sign me up with the group that still thinks the show is funny. I, for one, found the douchiness and frantic nature of Fez's characters hilarious. No one character could make it through a segment by themselves the way that Mr. Norton's characters could, but it still made me laugh.

I wouldn't call myself a "hater", because I'll be the first to say that every online interaction I've had with her has been pleasant, but I think she doesn't articulate her points well and on many occasions last summer when she was in studio >once a week she would change sides in the middle of a discussion, sometimes mid-sentence. I also think she represents a very insular element of the fan community that the other 95% of fans resent, either out of jealousy for being in-studio or genuine discontent that time that could be spent making us laugh is instead devoted to the tweets of someone we've never met and would prefer to have never heard of. That last sentence isn't directed at HTG, but rather at a host of people who don't bring much in the way of content.

I agree with NYD here. I think HTG seems like a very nice person, who really doesn't deserve to be "hated-on" on a messageboard. However, she really doesn't add anything to the show when she's there. She has logically formulated opinions on things.... Ok....

I also find myself agreeing with NYD on his point. I have no problem with HTG, but I find her role on the show to merely be acceptable. Because I never subscribed to PalTalk, I was not able to get on the ground floor of this whole community of fans that actively participated in the show since the XM show started. I only know the names BabyGirl, AngelF#%$, and "The Mean Girls," but I have no idea who they are.

There was a long period of time a few years ago where Ron would make frequent but vague references to things happening on PalTalk. As a paying XM subscriber, I could see how someone driving in his or her car listening as a bunch of people listening to XM and hearing a lesser version of the show (compared to the PalTalk version) would feel cheated. I didn't really mind very much.

I notice that Ron will reference things from the fans who Tweet him, but I rarely use Twitter... sigh.

As far as her writing and intelligence, she's one of those jew broads from the LI tri-state area, typically, LI, who pretend to be smarter and more special than they really are and like being special, from pronouncing their name or spelling it different, to using big words and a hoard of adjectives they have no business using.

...and it's not like weren't working towards the same thing. It's simply that she used the O and A firing to self-promote and acted like a rockstar.
