Surgery stories

I have never had any significant surgery in my life.
I don't want it and I think I'd rather die than have it in most cases
I mean literally, I'd rather die.

I know most people would prefer to live and have gone through serious surgery.
Any stories about these life changing experiences?

I am inextricably linked to Dave and Casey. Was listening to the wedding show just before they wheeled me into the OR for prostate surgery. So 6/21/07 was their wedding and my loss of a body part. BTW...they left the catheter in for 10 days
