why not leave it in the freezer and thaw what you want to eat the night before? Why are you buying thawed meat that was once frozen then putting in the fridge to then only put in back in the freezer a few days later?

thats the part he doesnt get. YOU CAN BUY IT STILL FROZEN SO ITS STILL GOOD

It was bought fresh. You shouldn't refreeze meat once it's thawed.
