Kevin Smith was speaking at my college during his first tour of speaking dates. I bought tickets, went out in the pouring rain, only to find out at the venue that the show was cancelled because Smith was doing his first filmed segments for The Tonight Show.

I did wind up seeing Amelie that night though, although I was freezing in the theater AC because I had gotten so drenched.
