Problem 1: Why would you have a problem with the race of your baby if ostensibly, you've had sex with a person of a different race? It's not like two white people are going to have... SURPRISE! A black baby!

I'm not so sure that banning gender based abortions is such a bad thing. It's certainly a problem in parts of the world and as we become less white and less protestant maybe it's not a horrible idea to get ahead of the issue.

I have no idea why race is mentioned in this bill because as someone said earlier it ain't like you don't know the answer to that one already.

But if you've been to India it's really common to see sonogram places advertised with the express purpose of determining the fetus' sex so you can terminate the females. It's real and it happens. I have no idea if passing a law will change anything, but again I have no problem with a society clearly stating through the law what is an unacceptable behavior.

When it comes to abortion, I break away from many on the right. I believe in a womans right to choose, however it should not be the law of the land, let it be a state matter.

However I am against late term abortions except in severe cases, IE health of the mother. At 7 months into a pregnancy the fetus is almost fully formed.

Why does it matter? If the mother doesnt want the baby she shouldnt have to have the baby. That reason is no more or less reasonable then any other one. Its her choice, it doesnt matter why. And its a stupid law because theres no way to prove it anyway.
