She submitted it to the student art gallery at the end of the semester and it got accepted. I went to the opening and all day chicks would stop by the picture and talk about how hot they thought it looked. I hooked up with two of the chicks that were there that day after the thing with the girl who took it had ended.

i'm not hoping chicks here will see it (all five of them) or anything, but that pic has some pretty good memories attached to it for me.

Of course they do. But what exactly are they defending themselves from? The possibilty of bad publicity from something that may or may not happen down the line? If thats the case does that mean employers now have the right to run their employees lives how they see fit because something they do can possibly bring bad publicity to them later?

See thats what I cant stand. As my boss you have the right to exactly 8 hours a day of my time (if thats what you work). For those 8 hours you can demand I dont drink, smoke, use the internet, make a phone call, eat, have a conversation or whatever the fuck else you want. Thats the time you pay me for. The other 16 hours a day are MINE. In that time if I want to drink til I pass out, smoke 3 packs of cigarettes, fuck a girl all over the room, shit on my floor, post on websites or anything else, as long as its legal, shouldnt be ANY of your fucking business. You should have ZERO say in it as long as its not affecting what I do for you those other 8 hours. And you certainly shouldnt be able to take my job away for something I do legally on my own time.

Well, you and Elizabeth haven't a clue how this conflicts with her role as an educator (assuming she wasn't a janitor or lunchlady). Now, I haven't a clue what a private school teacher is expected to sign before getting his or her teaching job, but when I was a teacher (at a non-religiously affiliated school) I had to sign a bunch of documents promising to uphold certain standards of ethical conduct. I was not allowed to talk about my students' academic or personal information with anybody but the students or the parents themselves. I was not allowed to make my students' information available to the public, even in accidental cases. If someone stole a laptop from my car containing student records, I was subject to penalties and perhaps termination.

Elizabeth is part of a partnership where she created a mechanism that not only allows her former students and teachers to post libelous information about each other, but she created sections on the site that encourage the practice.

I know cops and doctors that complain on Facebook all the time about their jobs. I dont get it. I didnt really delve into the site, just glossed over it. But the point of the site is to vent right? And he said personal information being given out is policed, correct? So wheres the problem?

If the teacher was one of the guys that started .net, and there was a thread about teachers that hate their students, and its just anonymous stories where they bitch about the kids, should that teacher lose their job?? I dont think they should.

Why does a teacher have to act like they have the greatest job in the world? Why shouldnt they be able to bitch about it like everyone else does? I know a shitload of teachers, and I would never do that job. Most of these kids are fucking assholes. The fact is, a priest, and quite a few administrators knew every detailed of the project. Not because she was afraid of being fired, but because she felt it was the right thing to do. Nobody expressed an issue with it. They knew the name, they knew the goals, and they knew the potential threat of having the categories. They even helped suggest categories during the beta process. One was even a site admin on the fan page.

THATS why she said it was a suprise, and she was appalled.

Moments after they tried to get us to take down the categories, and we said no. The admin recalled her fan page status, and deleted us. (not before we took a pic of her on the fan page as an admin)

I never once said, the school did not have a right to fire her. I am just saying they threw her under the bus AFTER the comments being said were things they did not want to read, period! And the FoS references we were making pertains to the fact they were demanding we remove parts of the site, ' or else'. I guess FoS conflicts with the private schools mission statement, and we are 100% correct to assume so.

I do have to say, I do say things to drive traffic to my sites though, that poster nailed it!

And, why did we have to keep it in the family? It was not a secret.

This website is doing EXACTLY what it supposed to do. And it serves a MAJOR purpose. MUCH good comes from seeing the truth, even if the truth hurts. MUCH entertainment comes from drama, even if the drama hurts. And, MUCH fun comes from venting or expression, even if it hurts.

I love how someones argument was simply 'that's her side of the story'.

I guess if your great argument is going to be 'liar liar, pants on fire', you must be right. Your an idiot.

The fact is, a priest, and quite a few administrators knew every detailed of the project. Not because she was afraid of being fired, but because she felt it was the right thing to do. Nobody expressed an issue with it. They knew the name, they knew the goals, and they knew the potential threat of having the categories. They even helped suggest categories during the beta process. One was even a site admin on the fan page.

THATS why she said it was a suprise, and she was appalled.

Moments after they tried to get us to take down the categories, and we said no. The admin recalled her fan page status, and deleted us. (not before we took a pic of her on the fan page as an admin)

I never once said, the school did not have a right to fire her. I am just saying they threw her under the bus AFTER the comments being said were things they did not want to read, period! And the FoS references we were making pertains to the fact they were demanding we remove parts of the site, ' or else'. I guess FoS conflicts with the private schools mission statement, and we are 100% correct to assume so.

I do have to say, I do say things to drive traffic to my sites though, that poster nailed it!

And, why did we have to keep it in the family? It was not a secret.

This website is doing EXACTLY what it supposed to do. And it serves a MAJOR purpose. MUCH good comes from seeing the truth, even if the truth hurts. MUCH entertainment comes from drama, even if the drama hurts. And, MUCH fun comes from venting or expression, even if it hurts.

Without it, the elite core users of Dot Net have no reason to post!
