So I've decided to TiVo the first two rounds and watch them when I get home from the gym. As long as I avoid espn.com things will be fine. It was a fun first round today, loving that Rory was a stud today. I'm def pulling for him during this tournament. I can't wait for the weekend though.

I loved it when someone in the crowd yelled out after his drive on 17 or 18, "Be good Johnny! Johnny be good!"
Much more original than hearing those hacks yelling "Get in the hole!" constantly.

people that yell "Get in the hole!" at golf tournaments should be taken behind the 18th green and immediately shot in the head. And possibly raped first.

i watched tiger through 6 holes. He looked awful. that run came outta no where. but it is augusta, and even last year he made a run like this. He is always gonna play well here. But i think he really has a chance now with all the youth and inexperience ahead of him

Ya mostly due to a slumping tiger. I was so pumped to see him make a run after friday, and he just couldnt make a putt. I did like how you could tune to an all tiger channel and watch him prep for shots and shit. That first short putt he missed he spent about 10 minutes prepping for it, he definitely over thought it.

i wouldnt call him slumping. in fact, he has hit the ball as well as he has hit it in like 18 months. He just couldnt make a putt. Thats alot better than the past few months where he just couldnt do anything. He isnt far off. He should go back to his Cameron putter

Which is a great excuse, accept that he's a professional and he acted far from it.
I said it earlier, but the real victim here is Angel Cabrera. I have no idea how he was supposed to concentrate with Rory acting like that. His 37 on the back is more impressive to me than Johnny Miller's 63 at Oakmont.

The guy was shooting like shit and crying. How the fuck does this effect anyone else? Professional athletes cry all the time, especially after losing big games. There's a lot of emotion going and it just explodes.
Angel Cabrera is a professional. If he can't concentrate because the other guy he's playing with is crying, maybe he should stop playing golf.

Work with me on this guys:
Twitter blew up tonight because a female reporter for the Bergen Record tweeted this:
Bad enough no women members at Augusta. But not allowing me to join writers in locker room interview is just wrong.
So by reading that, people automatically assumed that no women are allowed in the locker room. Never mind the fact that other women have covered the Masters. NO ONE has ever said there's a rule preventing women from covering this.
Twitter fucking BLOWS UP.
Apparently, it was two rent-a-cops who said women were not allowed in.
Later she tweets this:
I am on deadline but here is convo w/steve ethun of masters media committee: It was a complete misunderstanding by the tournament week security and you should have rightfully been given access per the standard practices of major sporting events.

Men reporters can go in to female locker rooms, but that's not the point. You're missing it.
The reported tweeted that Augusta has a phantom rule about female reporters in the lockerroom - or that was the implication - when it was, in fact, an overzealous security guard.
