I cant stop smelling paper

I cant describe what makes me do it or even when I started doing it but any time I get a piece of paper in my hands I have to smell it and have certain types that I enjoy more than others.
Magazine pages, if the correct thickness and ink smell amazing. Paper with carbon in between pieces are probably my favorite to sniff. I swear I will sit and smell this type for hours. Notebooks are not bad and have noticed that the "Five Star" brand has a nice clean smell.
I know I'm fucking nuts but oddly am not alone in this guilty pleasure. I brought it up in conversation one day and was prepared to be beaten down with ridicule but amazingly several of the other basketcases I was talking to also take the occasional whiff. So dont knock it until you try it.

I've also a love of paper. When I was younger I used to take a bunch of printer paper and walk around with it. This carries over to books and why I don't think I could ever get a kindle or nook (I don't care what that commercial says).

I enjoy when I get a new book and you can smell the paper when you flip through it.

I read up on that and that has absolutely nothing to do with liking the smell of paper. I mean this diagnosis is so far off I cant even begin to comprehend how one would come to such a conclusion. But hey I did enjoy reading about it so guess I learned something and thats always good. Thanks!
