Howdy - going to be in and out today (again). Busiest time of year for me at work and I am hating it.

BTW... how do these people know what they are talking about when they are recording like 5 pm weekdays - so they call in? Are they airing this anywhere when it is live at 5?

Ron's wrong. I saw the first game at Gillette in 2002. It was a soccer match and totally packed. I also saw Mexico-USA (I think it was still foxboro) and it was sold out.

yes the spynetwork hits its limit of viewers usually around 10AM so people can listen at 3PM

They couldn't be any wronger about game 6. Barea and Terry completely carried the Mavs.

Also, only faggots don't like Pinkerton.

Many bad almost got into a fight because some guys in front of us had giant sombreros you couldn't see around.

They're right about the west coast football. Went to an Oakland game years ago and it's just bizarre leaving before 9 to go to a pro game.

They're going to keep expanding the Philadelphia Union stadium until it's like 30k, I think thats a mistake, I dont think they're going to sell out at that capacity.

A book about the history of ESPN sounds like the dullest thing on the planet. I didn't love that Shales book about SNL. It was kindof interesting initially but I think you need some scope. People are going to give you things from their perspective, which isn't hugely historically valuable. Someone needs to give an objective history of something. There's too much "Man, Chevvy Chase is a dick."

Why would it be great for the Rams to go back to L.A. besides Blowhards need to re-create the 70's? No one cared about the Rams when they were in L.A.

Don't follow NFL too closely. Who else loses with this lockout? Teams, fans, TV, of course. Vegas & books? Sponsors? I am really curious about whether anyone's derived a total economic loss related to a potential L/O. Likewise, who wins? Those $Billions have to go somewhere, yes?

Superb flick! Oswalt's (and, Kevin Corrigan) been a favorite for awhile, and this gig was surprisingly right up his alley. I can't help but think about some RF callers in light of Paul's methodology.

The Patriots were undefeated going into the Super Bowl and a team that was clearly less talented than them beat them with some absolutely incredible plays. I agree that there's a lot of hyperbole in the media, but calling the Giants/Pats Super Bowl one of the best of all time is not hyperbole.

Giants vs. Bills is considered one of the most memorable super bowls of all time too. Say "wide right" to any football fan of any team and they know that you're talking about that game.

I do likes me some Showalter. The interview is teetering. RB's the 100% pro, and Showalter's hanging in there. What's really driving me nuts is trying to remember the PoS actor that tried to get strong with Ron some time ago: "Well, thanks for watching the movie."

Who was that needed-to-be-schooled, awful actor? Arrgh!

I normally like Unmasked even with people I'm not overly familiar with, but this is just nonsense.

Manning, Esq.
06-13-2011, 09:33 AM
MS is definitely one of those stream of consciousness, frenetic comics. It is hard to listen to, to be sure. In fact, there really is no unmasking going on, here. His kernels of wit and wisdom, however, are interesting to me. This is the type of comic that makes me wonder how I can crack up to Jimmie and the alt-guys equally. I do think that Ronnie's one of the very few that can keep him reined in.
