I wouldn't doubt it. If you have a fuck ton of money you you most likely be a republican

Gates did rent out a whole island in Hawaii for his honeymoon (Lanai)...which I believe is ending in divorce as we speak.

I remember hearing this a few weeks ago when Seth Swirsky was on Red Eye.
I would also like to say that his band, The Red Button, is really good/fun.

Yes, let's all just guess about how he'd save us right now bc the pubs LOVED him back then. I'm sure he'd be the head of the RNC right now if alive right?
Hoover/Lennon 2012! Oh wait.

Nah she'll get enough in the divorce she won't have to work

Truth be told I have nothing to back it up. It was just being said by the locals when they told the story of the millions he spent on his honeymoon.
He literally rented every hotel room on the island and left all but his empty for the time, along with paying more than normal for every activity on the island so they would be paid and got to go home so he had the island to himself with new wife. I guess he wouldn't even notice the funds used.

While Sarah and I were on our honeymoon the rumor floating around was that Donna Karen (who owns a house on the resort) had the entire place booked the next week. I don't think it's incredibly rare that they do this kind of thing.

Parrot Cay Resort in Turks and Caicos. The resort IS the island.

yah well there's the difference, Lanai is a pretty damn big island with multiple resorts, plenty of restaurants and a multitude of activities. sure it's smaller than Oahu or Maui, but man that's a lot of cash to shell out.

Sounds like a really cool documentary. If you have heard Lennons final interview he admitted that he had changed many of his beliefs from when he was young. I'm sure all of his loyal fans are simply heartbroke from hearing this news.

That's also the relative difference between what he makes and what she does.
So instead of the walrus, he was the elephant?

You mean this one?????
In what turned out to be Lennon’s last interview, with RKO radio the afternoon of the day he was shot, he talked about “the opening up of the sixties.” He said “Maybe in the sixties we were naïve and like children and later everyone when back to their rooms and said, ‘we didn’t get a wonderful world of flowers and peace.… the world is a nasty horrible place because it didn’t give use everything we cried for.’ Right? Crying for it wasn’t enough.
“The thing the sixties did was show us the possibility and the responsibility that we all had. It wasn’t the answer. It just gave us a glimpse of the possibility.”

Lennon couldn't have been Republican as he was very much for gun control.
