Kicking it old school. Maybe Fez is really back today.

Said with more hope than belief.

Oh wait, its not April 1st.

They're off until next week, they mentioned it yesterday and Peppy had a promo during the Sam Show. Today is the stout NYC Guiness show in full. Dave does lots of yelling in this.

I think it was planned.

Yup. Heads-up given yesterday. Same plan for the rest of the week. Very cool, however, that they picked this day for replay. Bonus points when they really let the whole thing play through. This did happen some months after expanding to 11-3, so we should be square.

Miss you, ____ ________!!

So I graduated in 2000 and in my school and at that time there weren't a lot of 'punk kids' so there were even less 'punk girls' and I proceeded to have a crush on every punk girl I ever met at that point Quinn!. Now I walk around my town and see that not only has that whole thing turned into a legitimate group of people but there are lots of black punk girls these days. Do you know what I would have done to know just 1 damn ethnic punk girl when I was 16? Now I debate if it's worth the embarassment to compliment a 16 year old girl on her hoodie patches.

It's all about fez doing a character. The flamboyant, over-the-top gay guy was exactly what the fez character was. Once he started to associate himself with the character, it became real and he couldn't enjoy it or be as out-there. Like, I don't think he would do a fun show as "todd."

No I totally get it as a white guy so as a girl and then ethnic I'm sure it's just exponentially worse. All the really metal kids I knew dated out of the school, there was like a metal exchange program.

I was at a BBQ or something one 4th with a bunch of kids I didn't know and the 'getting to know you' portion was literally "Are you a rapper or a rocker? Do you wear Nikes or Reeboks? Rappers wear Nikes rockers wear Reeboks. What radio station? What do you mean the music you like isn't on the radio?"

And there was always like 3 girls at every VFW show and they were always talking to the guys in the band.

But seriously, so into our modern black skater and punk girls, I missed out and I wont mess with girls younger than me.

Yeah - its kinda weird when I travel. I was checkingin to a hotel in Atlanta a while ago and there were at least 15 Muslim dudes at the checkout. each episode is mostly self contained, so it gets wrapped up usually by the end.....I haven't felt like i was watching anything that was misplaced or out of order. does it really matter how long each episode is? most all half hour shows are about 20-24 min of actual show.

I do think it matters ultimately what they're doing with their time, if you have time to dick around every week you're ultimately dilluting your product. Do you want to tell me a story about this guy, have me care about him, make me wonder if he's crazy and will he be ok, will he improve for this experience? Or do you want me to laugh at a totally random imagine of a guy in a dog suit pretending to hump something? I dont think you can have both, and I appreciate the latter just fine if you give me a choice I'll watch the former every time. If it's a collection of humorous images then I'm not going to notice that he's reading Dune in the first episode which Wilfred then quotes later, I'll just say "Oh he's humping something thats funny." and then have no interest in watching it should I forget to DVR it one week.

Why is Louie not It's Always Sunny...? Both are great shows, both really make me laugh, but Louie is a better show because it's about more than just making me laugh.

So you don't like Wilfred because you think it doesn't work when they mix the character development of Ryan (elijah wood) with dog jokes and Wilfred humping things, but Louie is a better show that you enjoy where it's dick and fart jokes and Louies twisted comedy, mixed with character development and is about more than making you laugh?

I'm confused how that basic formula works for you when you're watching Louie, but Wilfred should either be about ryan's character or just making you laugh with their style of humor but not both.

See, Louie is very much about caring about his character, relating to his awkward social moments and wanting to see him get better.....but has every bit as much juvenile humor as Wilfred. And i think Wilfred wants you to relate to Ryan, realize that he feels trapped by his family and their expectations and his feeling of drowning while going down the path laid before him that he doesn't want to travel....and along the way, there is this dog that he talks to and smokes pot with and there is some pretty funny material pulled from that.

Everything in Louie supports the theme of the episode though, nothing is thrown in just because it's a funny joke, everything in Louie is acheiving an overall goal for his entire series. I dont think the humor and the character development are mutually exclusive, and my complaint about Wilfred is they are actually too divorced. There's too much in the show that doesn't serve the goal of the show, I feel like they're half assing it. They have a good sense of comedy and absurdity but maybe are lacking in the more theme and character based elements they're going for. I dont dislike the show but if I didn't think Elijah Wood and the actor that play Wilfred were so likeable themselves I think I'd react very differently. If Wilfred didn't have an accent I cant imagine they would've made this show happen in America.

My level of criticism of the show is a compliment, it could just be a dumb show thats kindof funny that I watch sometimes. I recognize that there is potential for more depth and I'm disappointed that they havent been able to deliver on it.

fair enough. I will say this though......the title of each episode is the theme of the episode. It deals with a different trait that Ryan lacks that Wilfred, in his twisted methodical way, helps Ryan attain by manipulating him. So far, the episodes in order have been: Hapiness, Trust, Fear, and Acceptance. Maybe watching the show with that in mind will cause you to enjoy it more.

I will agree that the show benefits by using the same actor in the American version that played Wilfred for the two seasons they did in Australia. He already knows this character and I believe even some of the content and dialogue matches the earlier episodes. That show started in 2007.....Imagine having a job for four years where every day you show up for work you have to put on a dog costume? holy fuck.

Not at the joint I've come to know. But, yes, many levels of prison have them. Generally, the lower the security, and the farther southeast you go, the more likely it is that you'll see half-sized mobile homes for the angry nuptials.

The spammers are getting wild lately:

My, watching katy perry fakes is not that easy because every time you do that, you have to relief your tension and all that excitement you get during that. So there is no other option than masturbating, right? Of course if you have a girlfriend that lives with you then you don't have to do that. However, I am wondering what kind of guy needs to watch that kind of stuff if he has his real woman.

everyone has lost their goddamned minds.

You mightn't think of Norland as a target, but it's clear that radicals have been none-to-pleased with the Kingdon for awhile:

Norwegian media published the Danish set of Muhammad (pbuh) cartoons in 2005;
Syrian radicals attacked the Norway embassy in Damascus in 2006;
The leader of an al-Qaida-tied Iraqi cell, claiming refuge in Norway theatened Norwegian politicians with death is he would be deported;
Norway has been a U.S. ally in Afghanistan for nearly a decade.

Why today? Who knows, but I've read that the two attacks were poised to follow the PM's daily itinerary.

I agree that the vocals aren't strong, and she's a bit frenetic with the key. I guess they're okay, though. You might find that if you had to describe her based on her pipes, you'd peg her, precisely:
