I have a friend who had a job, she had that job for 7 months and then left that job for a new job. She was fired from the new job after a month. Her new boss was an alcoholic and drug addict who was also insane. She attempted to get unemployment. According to the rules of unemployment she is allowed because she worked for more than 6 months straight. The old Job would pay the bulk of the unemployment. However this alcoholic drug addict now says she did a horrible job and did not work at all during her tenure and fight that she should get unemployment. The old job that would be responsible for the 5 months had no issues with her. Now she has a hearing and has to prove she was a hard worker. The only way to do this is to ask current employees and of course they won't do that with fear of getting fired. I can't believe how easy it is for a business to get out of paying unemployment. Am I missing something?.
