I was looking at a condo this weekend and wound up at the open house with these Indian family looking for a place for their son. On the way out the Indian's ask "Is this neighborhood safe?" and then watched the realitor proceed to just tell them what they want to hear, with no regard for truth.

He points and me and my friend because he knows we live in town and says "These two are a testament to how safe it is, they've lived in town for years and they're still here. You can google the local crime blotter and see for yourself!"

It isn't a dangerous place but it's not crime free, there are a lot of bars so a lot of drunks, a lot of kids so vandalism and shit like that, and several wandering crazy people. The google thing wasn't the smartest idea, we just had a murder after a robbery attempt last week.

So we all give our answers like "Oh yeah sure." or mine "I dont really know any black girls that would date me." or the assistant managers "Oh, I already have dated black guys." So we all show how progressive we are and then Bobbi goes. "Well I aint, I just dont think the races should mix like that." It was hilarious.

She also hated gay guys as much as anyone I've ever met, and once came to work after being stabbed because if she no showed work her probation officer could violate her.

My lasting impression of Norristown is that one block would be dilipidated row homes...the next block would be gorgeous old Victorian homes....then the next block would be dilipidated row homes....and so on and so on.

Yeah it's a strange place for stuff like that. There was a lot of construction done when the area had a lot of money, then a lot more for working class people in the 50s, then more for really broke people thats all falling apart.
