The title of this forum is "The Confessional". Which implies that what people can do is "wrong" or "incorrect". There is a theory or philosophy to justify everything which in its truth makes everything done according to its reasoning, the truth. And if one theory or philosophy does not apply, there are others that work. To prevent any conflicts in theories, forget about the past and only concern yourself with today's goals and then reach your reasoning. Therefore you can live without a conscious or other judgments.
