Also, how appropriate that probably the best song on Rilo Kiley's last album, Under the Black Light, was about Breaking Up.

When that album came out you knew something was up but you didn't want to believe it. They've always told these stories about people living around fame, but this album was way seedier and more full of self loathing, and shortly after the supporting tour Blake Sennett straight up quit music. He would eventually come back to music but not before announcing that Rilo Kiley was not on hiatus but in fact totally broken up, for cryptic reasons.

Hopefully that boner gets over it, I never got to see them. A standout of early 2000s indie rock both musically and lyrically.

I had a similar experience, me and a buddy decided to go see the Commodores at the University Of Dayton arena back in 1980, we were just 16 and we definately stood out in the crowd. The Dazz band was the opener, it was a great show.
