Who ever thought Jimmy would be a good advice show host? I got arrested with a hooker, should I tell my wife? Nope.
My wife is uninterested in sex because of her history of abuse. She kindof sounds like a bitch.
I've been with the same woman for 27 years, we have 5 kids together, we're just bored of eachother sexually. Maybe it's time to leave her.

She's very charming and really cute.
I was watching Peepshow last night and one of the main characters gets therapy for the first time, and immediately afterwards he's walking around saying "Oh my god, Therapy is brilliant. I want to do more therapy. YOU should do therapy. HE should do therapy. Everyone should do therapy. Maybe I'll be a therapist." That really reminded me of Jimmy.

Someone tweeted at Opie about why they aren't live today, and Opie responded "Wow you haven't heard?" Not sure if Opie was trolling or something legit was going on.
Didn't feel like today would be a day they'd take off, since there's a lot of Super Bowl discussion to be had, but then again Jim Norton discussing sports could be the worst thing ever.

Doesn't seem like it'd be a Chris Kyle thing. I'd believe they did superbowl stuff last night and decided to take off for sleep/hangovers today, and maybe like some kind of screw the company because we didn't go to the superbowl thing. I think the best-of was structured too well to be unexpected.

Yeah I've been to both places, Morimoto is smaller and much more popular, they also dont turn tables really quickly, you're there for awhile. I cant imagine how quick you're getting out with 6 people. It's also not a place you can 'make room,' the majority of the seats are nailed to the floor, they dont have tables for more than 2 people, it's all booths and I think there are only 20 or less.
Can you imagine if Opie rolled up to a place with his reservation for 6 and they told him "sorry sir, we gave a walk in your table but they promised they just wanted a quick bite with the philly crew."
Buddakan is good too, Morimoto is just on another level. The irony? They're both Stephen Starr restaurants, so ultimately he put money in the same guys pocket.

They have such a complete misunderstanding of freedom of speech. I have all the freedom in the world to walk up to my boss and call him an asshole, and I would be rightfully fired. To act like there's no consequences for actions you take is child-like thinking.
Not only that, but firefighters and police don't really have the best reputation in the African-American community. Let's say that there's a horrible fire in Bed-Stuy where a lot of people of color die, and then they find this guy's tweets. The city has a responsibility as an employer, and as a servant of the taxpayers, to cover its own ass, not only from a financial perspective, but from a basic services perspective. How can you expect the people to have any faith that the City will provide equitable, decent service to all of its citizens if it's populated by racist mongoloids?

They're playing up the faggot part but the coach is really slapping the kids around, kicking them, throwing balls at their head etc. The guy who released the tapes says that the coach would totally change his tune when the athletics director came to watch practices, and Deadspin had it that three players transfered out of the program because of what a jackass he is. All around, a really fireable guy.
And I do love how Opie kept bringing up he had a really tough coach in high school, 30 years ago, so he gets how this is ok.

DURRR...BUT WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST LEAVE?
Because they'd have to sit out a year per NCAA rules, Opie. And their scholarships have to be renewed every year, so it kind of discourages whistleblowing.
I mean, he should just be fired from a BASKETBALL perspective. How in the world is he ever going to be able to recruit anyone ever again? Parents probably won't even let him in their houses.

Jimmy's logic in this Trayvon Martin discussion with Anthony is curious. He says that because Zimmerman had a gun, he shouldn't have followed someone who he believed to have criminal intent. Or he shouldn't have been caught off-guard by him. Or something. But Zimmerman is not guilty of murder, and he won't be found guilty. But his judgement "absolutely stinks" and he is culpable for the death. Because what if Zimmerman grabbed Trayvon?
So I guess what he means is that because Zimmerman had a gun and believed Trayvon to be a criminal, and decided to follow him, then he is is guilty of manslaughter because he didn't take the ass-kicking? I'm starting to think Jimmy might not have a law degree.

That whole discussion had me shaking my head. Between Jimmy trying not to hurt Ants feelings and set him off, to Ants blind racism. What i took away from it was when Jimmy said its all too convenient of a scenario. For Zimmerman to be 100% in the right. I got what he was TRYING to say even though he did a piss poor job doing it.

Future Jimmys assertion that we would be able to download our conciousness into a hard drive and email it 10 light years across the universe to where our new meat body perfect clone would be waiting for upload, and our old body would just hang out in a stasis tank, was pretty dubious. Just because it might end the world, doesn't make it implausible. Also, it's not like it would be free, so only people above a certain threshold would become immortal.
On an unrelated note, uploading consciousness to "the cloud" is common enough in the scifi writings of Cory Doctorow and others. Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom comes fairly close to Jimmy's ideas.

Maybe, but again that doesn't make it an implausible concept (unlike gutter's article might).
I think it's an implausible concept besides that. Jimmy wants to portray the mind as basically a computer, but it's not a computer it's organic. You'd have to grow an organic computer to interface the two things, then you'd have to have some kind of organic wi fi with a 10 light year signal strength to shoot your 'conciousness' across the galaxy. And you'd have to have achieved sending actual physical things across the galaxy to receive you.
Like Newport King says Jimmys solution to everything is Time + technology + they'll figure it out = profit. It just doesn't work like that, Jimmy doesn't understand science so much as he believes in alchemy.

while it is beyond creepy that Anthony is 51 and dating an 18 year old...it is a little insincere that Opie is acting like he is above it when he was dating his now wife at almost that young age while being within two years the age of her father
