Pepp should poop his pants with Jeff Mangum announcing dates with a fully reformed Neutral Milk Hotel. It's kindof strange because the last few years he's been touring all the same songs solo, and now he's going to tour the full band versions. He's essentially playing to the same crowds, too. I wonder how perpetual they can make this.

It won't be a big step in having openly gay athletes until it's a young guy who still has a career ahead of him. This is no different than the occasional retired player coming out once he's already out of the game.
I also love how nobody cares that there have been open lesbian pro athletes forever.

Two things are important there. First, because lesbians started coming out in sports that long ago we dont care as much. Second, lesbians in sports play to lesbian stereotypes while gays in sports play against it.
Also, straight women dont have lesbian rape anxiety like straight men, and straight women arent as neurotic about being accused of lesbianism.

They hit on it a little bit sometimes but not in the smartest way, that anti gay stuff is in large part anti women stuff. Having gay athletes will help that more than most things because it combats the stereotype.
The amazing story about Barton Fink is they took a break from writing Millers Crossing to write Barton Fink, which explores their own writers block.

I have a good liquor store story.
My wife and I both like to drink. We both go to a neighborhood liquor store for our faves - beer and bourbon for me, red wine and rye for her.
Most of the time, we go seperately, because we're always running in different directions because of our kids.
The first time we went in together, the look on the cashier's face was priceless. You could almost hear him think, "Holy shit, all of this is going to the same house?!?"

Just heard this, and I have no idea what he's talking about, either.
Earlier this week, Ron got Fez talking about his therapy this week. The therapist has been convincing Fez that he spends all his time attacking his mom, in the form of other people, or acting like his Mom. So Ron asked why Fez attacks the callers, and he said that they attack him, like his mother did.
Then Ron asked Fez why he had been attacking Popcorn. And before Fez could put together an answer, Ron asked, "Do you think he's your Mother? You were attacking his mother for real. " And that really took the wind out of Fez' sails. He agreed he owes Popcorn an apology which is something I've never heard him say about Mikey D, Zito, anybody.

If the short term future of fez is announcing only, and most part of the show is Ron and Pepper, I am very happy.
I do not want Ron to try to pull Fez in at all.
If he wants to contribute fine, but I believe Fez wants to just sit there 4 hours and collect a monumental check.
Ron just doesn't want to break the brand of ron and fez.
But if we get less Fez, we all benefit, its what fez reallys wants.

I agree in principle, but I admit somewhere over years of hoping to see Fez heal, I started to really dislike him. Especially lately, where he never interacts with callers and attacks the interns. He sounds amazingly mean and unlikable. So I've become one of those rubes who can't stand Fez for collecting a huge paycheck to do nothing. And I'd kind of like to see something happen the way we all have that co-worker who doesn't pull his wait but never pays a price.
I'm also stunned by how clearly Ron expresses his frustration and Fez never picks up on it. If they'd deal with some of this on the air it would be entertaining.

@monekyball you raise a good issue. The real issue is not Fez, its Ron.
Ron signs a contract with Fez and splits the proceeds, Why?
Its insane, I can only assume they pay ron enough money he could care less what fez does.
He shows up at 11am leaves at 3pm, does the same thing he likes, talks about what he likes.
I know Ron Diaz quit on Ron bennington and my opinion, I have no facts to back this up, is why ron bennington is so loyal to fez.

My problem with this is I don't think I'm a fan of The Ron Bennington Show.
Sometimes, it's funny and I enjoy it.
Sometimes, it's a boring interview-fest or 4 hours of disgusting noises made directly into the mic.

Sailor, if you mean, why listen to the show and then complain, it's a good question. I'm not sure why i still listen. Yesterday, with no Fez, Hicks babbling and people eating on the air during the end of the show, I did give up. Ad today I checked in here to see if others are frustrated. I loved the show for a long time. And I tune in kind of stunned to hear it rattle along in pieces. And I can't believe Whatley gets worse.
Also, O&A complain about Sirius-XM in general. The idea that this company lets Fez continue and more important, Hicks fill his role for peanuts, is weird. Or that O&A and Ron and Fez, two proud shows that once owned WNEW, could never compete on terrestrial radio now is sad. That last part is just my opinion.
Jimmyolsenblues' idea of Ron never bailing on Fez like Diaz did on him is one of the best theories I've heard.

Oh, one last thing. The funny thing is Ron seems to have spent the last two years dropping hints to Fez that it's time to split. Like Fez will pull the trigger and do the right think by retiring. Whatley just doesn't get it. Or is sooo afraid that his career is over if he and Ronnie split up, he locks up.

No, actually much more literal. They were talking about movies in general getting too long (as well as specific examples as well). Ron has always said he doesn't have a problem with long movies and you only have a problem with it if you didn't actually like it to begin with.
