We all really liked the early Bouncing Souls output a lot and then when they signed with Epitaph and put out the s/t record, which at the time for some reason everyone thought making your third record s/t was totally weird but it has proven not to be so, we were concerned that signing to a 'big' label on the west coast after self releasing music somewhat successfully was cause for concern. And we weren't psyched by the s/t record although it has proven to have more songs on it that we thought at the time. But there was a wait and see attitude. Then they put out Hopeless Romantic which was really mediocre and we were like 'oh shit, we were right.' But when they put out Summer Vacation and this was the first song we were surprised, excited and optimistic.

Hicks was frothing but we didn't get the nanny state calls I was afraid of. I would be upset by social injustice but maybe it's this modern world that I dont care about mandatory ritz I would need a passport to see.
