It was nice to be able to surf the web, listen to live radio, have normal conversations with co-workers, and watch the news again today, without fear of spoilers.
And I've got 51% available space back on my DVR.
The last thing left on it from the olympics is the women's curling gold medal match, but that result got spoiled when nbc was showing hightlights of the games over the weekend.
I'll still probably watch it though.
I think Brazil is only like 3 hours ahead of US central time, so it shouldn't be as taxing on the DVR as London was.
It has to be a hit to NBC's primetime ratings when, by the time they run previously recorded events, most everyone has already learned the result.
Back in 1980, I had no idea I wasn't watching that hockey game "live". I kinda miss those days.
