I've been waking up with awful neck aches the past few weeks, and I'm convinced it's because my pillows are old and kinda mushy.

Any ideas on what type of pillow offers the best support, along with comfort? I've heard of pillows filled with seeds, ones with gel, etc.

Thanks, HK.

I was having the same problem about a year ago ....
I brought it up to my personal trainer and she told me One should change there pillows every 6 months.....because they not only wear out but start to develope dust mits...."nice right"
On the type of pillow I use is seed filled as the base pillow then fether filled on top of that....
But you have to be carfull it could also be your mattress is wearing out ...

I always had neck pain from
my pillows until I bought a
Sobakawa. Yeah I know that's the goofy one filled with buckwheat hulls but my
neck has felt a lot better since I'm using it.

Greggie....hunny......baby......let me introduce you to the most comfortable pillow known to man. It's the tempur-pedic pillow from the Brookstone. It forms to your head, so when you sink your head in, it's a perfect fit. It's a bit pricey, around $130.00 or so, but in the long run your head will appreciate you. ;)

Lou, comment?

And people wonder why I love the ladies of this board! Thanks Lisa and Jenni, and everyone else who replied. I appreciate the advice, but I think I'll buy the pillow EffMe reccommended and the neck massage from Jen.

No offense. ;)

my neck kills.. I have the same problem, gvac...

i think i'll wait until you try out the 130 dollar pillow... eventhough effme said it rules.. i'll wait until you say it rocks.. then i just have no choice but to buy with those 2 opinions.

Anyone with neck pain should rush to Brookstone to buy the large termpur-pedic pillow.

I've been using it for about 5 years and it's unbelievably comfortable.

If the bed weren't so unreasonably expensive I'd buy it too.

EDIT: I spelled "buy" "puy."

Jeff, you should really look into it. It's a worthwhile expense. Your neck will love you for it.

You may be lying on your pillow incorrectly. Be sure to support your shoulders, neck and head all on the pillow. You'll never have neck pains. Most folks just leave their neck and head on it. Thats a health no-no.

I have the "contour-pillow" and the pillow with the seeds. They both rock!

Good luck with your neck problems .... go get a massage ... { stop .... Christy .... do not post anything dirty .... stop .... hold back }
