I am guessing this is the 24 themed episode:

From today's Comedy Central Press Release:
Hillary Clinton is in town for a big campaign rally in an all-new "South Park" on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 10:00 P.M. on Comedy Central

Cartman suspects the new Muslim student is behind a terrorist threat in an all-new "South Park" entitled, "The Snuke," premiering on Wednesday, March 28.

The clock is ticking as the citizens prepare for Hillary Clinton's big campaign rally. Every minute counts as Cartman uses his own methods to interrogate the suspect. But could the plan to target Hillary Clinton be just the tip of the iceberg?

As commentary on Hillary, weak at best. I was expecting something more in line with how Barbra Streisand or Tom Cruise were treated as phoneys.

I've noticed that every season of South Park, there's like 3 or 4 episodes that seem very prepared, like they wrote them with lots of planning. And every other episode of the season they hand in the day before (that is actually something they've admitted to, handing it in the day before).

This seemed like one of those well prepared episodes (like the season opener, as well). Great, hilarious episode.

Is there another show that has stayed THIS good for so long? It is crazy.

OK so I am watching an episode of Southpark on FOX WTIC. Its the episode where Cartman discovers you can poop out your mouth if you shove food up your ass.
Anyway when Cartman finally throws up a turd a black screen comes up saying something to the effect of:

Everytime I want to hate him he does something like that and proves he does have at least a selective sense of humor. But I still hate him.

I just don't understand how he "got" that episode which included him trying to kill Jesus, Jesus being knifed to death and Jesus killing him but he was outraged at the Cartoon Wars episode where Jesus shit all over the American flag in the fake Al-Qaeda video.

Stan's dad takes the biggest crap of his life and his mom just can't see what the big deal is in an all-new episode of "South Park" entitled, "More Crap," premiering on Wednesday, October 10 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.

Randy becomes South Park's home-town hero when the guys down at the local bar see the size of his most recent crap. Randy contacts a society that keeps track of the world record, thinking his masterpiece would definitely be a contender.

Meh. Stan's dad continues to be the show's secret weapon, but most of it felt really forced and stretched out (ironic, given the joke it centered around) after the first 5 minutes. The show tends to kinda suck when they almost completely forget about most or all of the kids.

Though Bono constantly sounding like he was signing that goddamn "Vertigo" song was hilarious.

Fair Use Doctrine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use)

Fair use is a doctrine in United States copyright law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_copyright_law) that allows limited use of copyrighted material without requiring permission from the rights holders, such as use for scholarship or review. It provides for the legal, non-licensed citation or incorporation of copyrighted material in another author's work under a four-factor balancing test (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balancing_test). It is based on free speech (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech) rights provided by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution) . The term "fair use" is unique to the United States; a similar principle, fair dealing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_dealing), exists in some other common law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_law) jurisdictions. Civil law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_law_%28legal_system%29) jurisdictions have other limitations and exceptions to copyright (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limitations_and_exceptions_to_copyright).

United States trademark law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_trademark_law) also incorporates a "fair use" defense. While the names are the same, the doctrines are quite different.

Purpose and character
The first factor is about whether the use in question helps fulfill the intention of copyright law to stimulate creativity for the enrichment of the general public, or whether it aims to only "supersede the objects" of the original for reasons of personal profit. To justify the use as fair, one must demonstrate how it either advances knowledge or the progress of the arts through the addition of something new. A key consideration is the extent to which the use is interpreted as transformative (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformation_%28law%29), as opposed to merely derivative (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derivative_work).

When Tom Forsythe (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tom_Forsythe&action=edit) appropriated Barbie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbie) dolls for his photography project "Food Chain Barbie," Mattel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mattel) lost its claims of copyright and trademark infringement against him because his work effectively parodies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parody) Barbie and the values she represents (cf. the 2003 9th Circuit case Mattel Inc. v. Walking Mountain Productions).

But when Jeff Koons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Koons) tried to justify his appropriation of Art Rogers' photograph "Puppies" in his sculpture "String of Puppies" with the same parody defense, he lost because his work was not presented as a parody of Rogers' photograph in particular, but of society at large, which was deemed insufficiently justificatory.[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use#_note-1)
However, since this case, courts had begun to emphasize the first fair use factor — assessing whether the alleged infringement has transformative use as described by the Hon. Judge Pierre N. Leval (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_N._Leval).[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use#_note-2) More recently, Koons was involved a similar case with commercial photographer Andrea Blanch,[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use#_note-3) regarding his use of her photograph for a painting, whereby he appropriated a central portion of an advertisement she had been commissioned to shoot for a magazine. In this case, Koons won; the case sets a favorable precedent for appropriation art where the use is deemed transformative.

The subfactor mentioned in the legislation above, "whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes," has recently been deemphasized in some Circuits "since many, if not most, secondary uses seek at least some measure of commercial gain from their use."[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use#_note-4) More important is whether the use fulfills any of the "preamble purposes" also mentioned in the legislation above, as these have been interpreted as paradigmatically "transformative." Although Judge Pierre Leval has distinguished the first factor as "the soul of fair use," it alone is not determinative. For example, not every educational usage is fair.[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use#_note-5)

It's Absolutely because Matt and Trey still do the writing. They're obviously creative guys, and they keep creating outlandish scenarios and stories. Combine that with their constant desire to push envelopes and buttons, and Trey's impeccable comedic timing and delivery, and 10 years later, still genius.

Anybody ever play Guitar Hero or know somebody obsessed with playing it? this episode is pretty funny if you've played it, but i cant imagine it being a good episode if you have no frame of reference to Guitar Hero. I wish this episode was about the Writer's Guild Strike instead.

My favorite episodes are always when they take cliche' stories and put the Southpark spin on them.

Umm, I'm pretty sure that Matt and Trey are WGA members. I wouldn't even expect an episode next week.

I was just thinking that.

The fact that they don't even write most episodes until the weekend before they air is usually such a good thing.

South Park always has a mix of preset episodes and current events episodes. With the writer's strike looming, it is quite possible that they did all preset episodes for this season.

Yeah, the one tonight was defintely a "bank show". All in all, it was decent.
I LOVED all the old school shit from tonight.
Kenny dying again, Wendy and Stan getting back together, it felt like season 1 all over again.

Yeah, but they went Anne Frank rather than Sophie's choice. I thought they'd go Anne Frank as soon as Cartman decided to hide his cat. "Here kitty, keep a diary"

Chris Crocker was telling everyone to leave people alone.

I don't know if I haven't been getting enough sleep, and am just a little slow, but I kept asking myself "What the hell is this all about?" I was ready to give it a thumbs down thinking it was just a pointless and meaningless episode. It wasn't until the very speech at the end that I realized that it was a social commentary on the whole writer's strike thing. Anyone else find themselves in the same boat, or am I just that stupid?
