As soon as I saw it was Canada going on strike, I figured it was the Writer's Strike, but I didn't see the whole internet celebrity thing coming.
Although I didn't expect Kyle to have such a huge speech at the end, but it was interesting to hear their take on the strike.

I hope South Park hasn't peaked.
How can say that? I thought last night's was the weakest one this season and still better than 90% of what's on television.
And I think the Feivel scene with the mouse and penis singing was just too fucked up and funny.

Deb me too but I was thinking: How many people know the movie 'Stand and Deliver' and who Jaime Escalante was and about Olmos cutting his hair and gaining weight to play the role. I'm a teacher, if I dont know its a crime.
But I bring him up all the time to people, even teachers, and youd be surprised how many have never heard of him or the movie; which is fine, I dont think it was that big to begin with. I was impressed how much stuff from the movie was in there, and I'm guessing it may have left many people behind. It was a while back.
I never saw an episode of '24' so it took me about ten minutes of the SP episode to figure out what it was. The music cues did it for me, but I was clueless for most of that episode as to references.

Cartman forces Butters to ditch the fanatical townsfolk to go to the amusement center located next door. While the rest of kids are reluctantly learning about the good old days in Colorado, a group of trigger-happy thieves break into the museum and take everyone hostage.

You know, though...they make an excellent point.
The Star Wars movie will never be as fun to me, because of having seen those prequel abortions.
Thankfully, I didn't see Indy 4, so that hasn't quite been ruined for me yet.
Lucas and Speilberg have really killed a lot of their movies staying power because of the way they've whored everything into franchises.
Star Wars and Indy are the big ones.
But they do it with everything.
American Graffitti - More American Grafitti
Jurassic Park - The Lost World - Jurassic Park III - and now Jurassic Park IV?
E.T. - E.T. Children's friendly version.
Jaws - Jaws II - Jaws III - Jaws: The Revenge
Shrek - Shrek II - Shrek the Third - Shrek the Fourth (Speilberg was an EP on this)
Men in Black - Men in Black II (Speilberg was an EP)
It's ridiculous.
The initial movies aren't bad, but they run everything into the ground.

To be fair, Jaws and American Graffiti were both early career movies for both, when they didn't have the power in Hollywood they do now, so they didn't have ownership of them. The studios made these sequels without Lucas and Spielberg.

The computer program they use to make the show is the same one they used to make Jurassic Park, so that's a cinch, the two of them do almost all the voices, and they finish every show basically a day before if not the day it airs. The only reason the network allows it is because they make Comedy Central so much money.
Oh yeah, also they're fucking geniuses.

I love how the final goal of the whole campaign was to steal a diamond worth $210 Million, while real life donations to Obama's campain alone pulled in $639 Million.
Together they both received almost $1 Billion (I know most of it was spent, but they still have at least $60 Million each after debts and campaign expenses, I'm just saying...)

Since when are you not allowed to use lead weights in Pinewood Derby cars? BTW... I rocked at that. First year I won best design, and the next year I won the race. My secret was graphite on the axles.
I had to text my dad to see if he still had mine.
When I built it, he wouldn't help me with shit. The design, using the tools, or painting, cause he thought it was against the rules or something. He just sat there and made sure I didn't cut my hands off. I painted it like a skunk, cause I'm totally untalented.
I got first motherfucking place with it. No joke. I barely even cut into the piece of wood.
I used graphite on the wheels, and they let us use the lead weights (this was early 90's)

My dad pretty much just helped me draw the pencil lines on it for the cuts (and made sure I didn't cut off my hands like yours did). I was fortunate enough to grow up in a household with enough tools to put any High School wood shop to shame.
EDIT: I just remembered the one main thing my dad did to help. He cut out the hole in the bottom where I screwed the lead weight in. He wouldn't let me use his router.

There was a guy they showed crying towards the end of this episode that looked EXACTLY like Anthony Cumia.
There's been a lot of times that something has been on the show that I hear O&A mention or they were talking about. I've always just assumed its coincidence, but I'm really starting to think maybe Matt & Trey listen to O&A.

Was that a new sound they used to bleep out the cuss words? I know it's not the one they used to use, but was last night the first time they used it?

I was hoping they'd do Mr. McMahon's voice like Ant does it.
And damn those guys were good wrestlers!

He he. Good show last night. The shows have all been good this October. I thought the March episodes weren't their best.

I'm sure a lot of people didn't watch it, but tomorrow I'm sure nothing would cheer up a suicide-watch Ronnie than a discussion of whether 'FAG" is a gay slur.Funny episode .

I loved this episode, but it had me thinking of what they were really making fun of.
Were they trying to say gays are really loud and obnoxious and always want attention, or did they just really, really want to make fun of bikers?

Primo episode tonight. As for Ugly Americans, it's better than that secret girlfriend show. Which is saying very, very little.
