You know, the more I think about this (especially with Doc leaning toward retirement), I don't think Doc was taking shots at the Lakers but was instead trying to cement his and this team's legacy in NBA history. When the Big 3 came to town, the goal was to win a championship within a very small window as they were "old". In 3 years, they won one title and, if at full strength, they realistically might have won 3 in a row. They came close this year after losing Perkins and made it to the conference finals without Garnett the year before.

If that's not true and he'll sign on his own, he'll be a Bull. Makes so much sense and they'll be really good with him, Rose, Noah and whatever they trade Luol Deng for. LeBron stays a Cav, Wade a Heat (?). So it would look like:

Bulls: Bosh

Heat: Wade, Boozer (a lock now), Reddick

New York: Amare

New Jersey: Johnson

Mavs: Dirk

Boston: Pierce

LA Clippers: Gay

Atlanta: Salmons

Thunder: Lee, Allan (not sure if they can afford both)
