That Sam Meder guy just seems awful. I'm no fan of Bolling, but I'm pretty sure that because the conversation when he jumped in was regarding the Iraq invation that he meant after it. But yes, he mispoke.

I don't mind the show, but I enjoy pretty much everything Gutfeld does and his banter with Beckel is pretty good.

It's Sam Seder and he's awesome and hilarious. You never noticed his voice in Lucy Daughter of the Devil? His parts were great.

And the point is, even if he meant that you can't just act like nothing happened under his watch. In fact, the biggest attack ever happened under it, not to mention others after it. Add in that they live by this attack us there versus here bullshit as well. And how do you just "take a mistake off the table" bc it's something you can't defend or want to talk about.

That'd be like taking Watergate off the table bc it's done before anything was done about it.

So when the economy was in a nosedive and hemorrhaging jobs, Obama managed to level it off. Pulling troops out of Iraq and putting a timetable on Afghanistan, things might actually IMPROVE.

Definitely time to say fuck a second term and put the assclowns back in charge to drive us off that cliff.

When you can read and comprehend what I write instead of inventing phantom arguments let me know.

That said, we are pulling out of Iraq. The economy will not improve until we pull out of Afghanistan, close tax shelter loopholes, and tax capital gains at a reasonable rate.

It's been a while since we've had any big economic gain here, and of the two I mention, only one was real and it too was driven to artificial levels (tech bubble pop). Yet to say that W's crew didn't know and use the housing debacle to get them through it is crazy. Everyone knew it, nobody did shit until they had to. All to blame, especially those that gained from it by robbing the country in the end or needed to keep the illusion in tact.

I agree with this 100%, just a point of clarity:

Tax revenue is not down in a huge way, it's down "only" ~15% from it's peak (2.6 trillion in 2007) vs 2.2 in 2010. It's also up very slightly compared to 2009 (2.1 trillion). The difference this year and last year outlay is UP in a huge way, 3.52 trillion in 2009 and 3.46 trillion this year.

FOX News is almost correct in this presentation, however they are leaving some important information out and they're selling it very childish, which I guess is how they have to talk to their audience.

Global Warming is real, but it's the planet's own cycles that we don't fully understand. Sunspots do contribute to our environment, but that is still not fully understood. The human factor? Unknown and still derives debate among scientists. They're taking ONE man's opinion and brushing off all others (the final nail in the coffin? Really?). And the hairspray statement from the women is just stupid. Haha, right viewers? Stupid viewers.

"The temperature is going down over the last 10 years" is a particularly telling statement, I would assume (if they have any factual basis) the basis for this statement is the temperature index, which bounces pretty wildly from year to year. That said, here's the last 120 years. There's a pretty clear trend on there since the 1970s. What exactly the contributing factors are can and should certainly be debated but to argue the 10 year trend of something with such a long timescale is patently ridiculous.

If my math serves me right (and it usually doesn't ) 120 years divided by 4.6billion(age of earth) means 120 equals about .18% or wink in geologic time.

The politicization of it sort of ruins any chance America has at succeeding in the future. Instead of committing to post-oil technology, people just want to pump oil out of the ground in Alaska. There's something like 10 billion barrels of oil in ANWAR, and about 30 billion barrels of oil elsewhere in America in proven reserves. 40 billion barrels sounds like a lot, but, that's about 4-6 years of oil -- we use around 7 billion barrels of oil a year. Reserves offshore are around 90 billion barrels, bumping us up to around 2 decades of oil. That's assuming, of course, we were able to instantly pull it out of the ground at current prices of recovery. Some of the oil (Alaska in particular) isn't all that high quality which means it will cost more to refine into usable product, other oil is from deep water which requires much more expensive rigs. That price will be passed onto the consumer, of course, so it's not like it will magically drop price all that much since it will either cost a lot to bring to market, or it will only be extracted at a minimal rate.

The answer to declining oil reserves isn't to use them faster, the answer is to figure out how we can avoid using so much oil in the future. China is already outpacing us in solar power generation, France is far more committed to nuclear power and the EU as a whole is far, far better about utilizing renewable energy sources. Yet, here we are discussing the politics of something we're going to have to deal with regardless of what party affiliation you belong to.

The lying. They tend to lie a lot. I'd get rid of MSNBC too. All these do is polarize and divide rubes.

I would agree that there should be a metric for using a "news" moniker. All others should be advertised as entertainment/editorial content.
