Actually, it's currently 27 in Knoxville, TN too. I talked to my buddy down there a few days ago and it was snowing. The weather there isn't much different there than it is here in Jersey, just not as much snow. Being close to the mountains it doesn't really get disgustingly hot there in the summer either.

There's 4 radiator vents here, plus 1 in the little room next to me, 2 in the staff room behind me, and another one in the small file room behind that.

When they were all on at full blast, I was dying from the heat because it wasn't even that cold out, so I had the maintenance crew turn the heater closest to me off, now I'm cold so I really need to learn to dress in layers.

My furnace quit on Sat morning. The high that day was 9 and it dropped down to -5 on Sunday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of WNY until 1pm this afternoon and will be replaced with a Lake Effect Snow Warning which will continue into Monday.

Lake snows will start to intensify today over northern areas and winds will strengthen out of the southwest 25-35mph reducing visibilities and making travel difficult before moving south and continuing into Monday morning.

Here is today's detailed forecast:

Sunday - 6am - 1pm
Early accumulations will likely average in the 3-5" range shortly after dawn. Winds will pick up during the afternoon out of the SW 25-35mph with gusts well over 40mph. More than the snowfall totals the strong winds will reduce visibilities and make travel difficult.

Sunday - 1pm - Midnight
Winds will reach their peak during this time and lake effect snows will intensify off Lake Erie as we head into the afternoon. Strong winds from the SW will allow the lake snows to begin in N. Erie and extend inland to Genesee & Orleans counties. Snow toals from the lake snow will vary greatly over a few miles with the highest totals approaching 8-16" in northern areas before the band shifts south overnight into Monday.
