the answer is cause NBC lost a ton of money and so they arent willing to spend the money to show all that shit. Think back to Bejing. They actually did a really good job of bringing things live and showing all the events. Alot of it also is that most of the events arent taking place when they were supposed to or originally schedules, which was to coincide with NBC live coverage.
