If you really want good coverage Google around a bit for a VPN into the UK to get yourself on the BBC stream. There are a few good ones out there that offer one month plans for under ten bucks. It's well worth it for serious Olympic fans.

1) The final score for canada needs to have a factor of 1.04368932 applied to take into account the difference (albeit slight) in the number of athletes competing from the respective countries.

2) Bonus points:
-Men's hockey gold is a 15 point bonus, women's gold is 10

Haven't been watching much of the games the past couple of days as I'm wrapping up a bunch of stuff before heading to Vancouver tomorrow night but so far I've got mixed feelings. The opening ceremony was brutally awful and the replays I've seen have only given me more douche chills. The Canadian athletes are doing OK but given the money put into the "own the podium (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Own_the_Podium_%E2%80%93_2010)" program we're falling short. The people whining about the lack of french content in the opening ceremony can kindly shut the fuck up. The british who are whining about Canadians being too competitive can do likewise.

The technical aspect of the thing was very impressive, but what an awful production. The part with all of the natives dancing really looked like some old gay musical western from 1940's hollywood. its actually funny. back in the day when it was first blowin up, when like a 540 was a massive trick still, it was all 30-35 year olds. Now that they are doin this crazy shit, its younger guys. Also its cause the body cant keep taking that kinda punishment all the time.
