Now that I've totally put the thread in racist territory, go over to the Hot Chicks forum, rub one out to what I've posted and return ready to debate.
yes, nice pictures.....
....where were we in the Obama debate? something about Christians, whether Bush is dumb, ...I think I'm going back to the pictures.

Well you are wrong; but I also see that anything outside your realm of understanding causes you to slander and demean.
I've made the most coherant arguments on here today, and that bugs you because I'm not toeing your Party line.
Bottom line is you don't know what the fuck you are talking about, and therefore you insult me.
You owe me an apology; but I won't stick around to hear it because frankly I don't give a damn who you think I am.
It's been kinda fun chatting with you folks for the most part; but alas I'm both bored and disgusted with the lies, slander, and ignorance exhibited herein.
You will feel safer now that a strong voice has vacated your presence; but you will still be stupid until you open your mind to more than partisan crapola.
Don't go dude, that's just how it is here. It's NOT PERSONAL. Pretend we're all sitting in a bar talking this shit, and that's how the riff goes. You've actually been doing a good job so far. Stick with us kid, you're going places.

Scott, this looks to be the difference....you are generally a serious person who just gives his point of view and is honest in your assessments. Hell sometimes you change your point of view, other times you may change the point of view of others.
Binary is like a liberal caller to Rush Limbaugh....we've all heard the set-up: "Hi Rush, I'm a big fan of the show BUT [insert bad liberal talking point here], what do you think Rush?"
It just seems like such a set-up.

Yeah. Scott actually reads other people's posts and thinks about them.
Some of these plants just post progressively longer, more verbose, less accurate diatribes without actually backing them up with facts, links, insight anything.

Dude dont take your ball and go home that is what they do when they lose a debate. They hit ignore.
Sometimes a man needs to ignore ignorance and spite, and concentrate on listening to the former Dem Veep candidate trash his old closed minded Party hacks.
I don't know who it is these terds are comparing me to, and yet I am bright enough to realize it is meant to demean, and slander me.
What they can't handle is logical parsing of the slogans they live under, and the reality of the situation at hand.
I understand that, and although I don't think much of their intelect, it's obvious they are doing what they need to do to alieve their own internal fear and loathing.
Me - I declared victory over ignorance, and then I got high, and I laughed, and I laffed, and I lafed even.

Epo - I just speak what I believe to be the truth - You are upset at me because in your world dissention and logic are not welcome lest they erode your bubble of comfort. You think this election will go Obamas way in spite of the numerous mistakes your "afraid to succeed" Party commits. I merely point out what I see as truth in hopes of educating the bitter, blind mice that make up the bulk of your friends arguments.
I write something that doesn't fit in your box, and your response is to slander and demean me. You're the winner.

Just saying, you might want to learn how to spell INTELLECT or use spell check, before attacking others aforementioned INTELLECT.
I had the appointment and location, it was taxi fare I needed, my friend. Way to take it personal - the #1 sign of a failed attempt at rational debate. Next, you can compare someone to Hiltler and the cliche will be complete.

I'll tell you who I am.
I am the guy the singlehandily damn near doubled the R&F files in the torrent by taking my time and energy to answer a request from a stranger.
I realize this makes me a bad person.
I am a man who supports Obama not because of what he says; but because of what he represents to our nations psyche. It's called putting country ahead of Party; I noticed the Republicans used that a lot last night. I'd be on there side if I truly believed their man was the best choice; but I don't.
I am somewhat of a political junkie who enjoys arguing the finer points of this campaign; but I tend to not get angry at the candidates, or their handlers, because I accept their right to speak their minds and have their own vision for America.
I am truly an Independant, and always have been.
I vote every election.
I am also a vindictive sort when attcked personally.
Bring a lunch if you want to play with me; otherwise save your tender feelings and ignore me.

You had to edit that?
Intelect, (no matter how you spell it), encompasses much more than proper spelling.
I admit - I Need a spell checker to keep from offending you. There is no excuse.
It's really not how you spell it - it's the meaning of the statement that matters.
You didn't like the gist of my argument, and decided to check me on spelling because you had nothing else. I responded with the only thing I know about you that exposes one of your weaknesses.
You argued for massive government spending because you couldn't lower yourself to take a subway or a bus to your appointment. Remember?
I'll take defiecent spelling skills over relying on others to save me from myself anyday.

Yeah...um.....what?
Fatimah Ali: We need Obama, not 4 more years of George Bush
By Fatimah Ali
Philadelphia Daily News
AMERICA is on the brink of a long, harsh and bitterly cold winter, with a looming recession that the GOP won't even admit to.
The policies of the current White House have brutalized our economy, yet the wealthiest think that everything is fine.
Rich Republicans just don't understand that millions are suffering. But many of their working class do, and they're beginning to abandon their own party.
When lifelong Republican Barney Smith told the Democratic convention that he'd vote for Barack Obama for president, he gave pause to even the most conservative members of his party.
Smith, like many disgruntled working-class Republicans, is ready to turn his back on his party because he's having such a hard time providing for his family. Like others, Smith fell victim to the loss of 3.2 million American jobs as factories closed or their work was outsourced to cheap labor markets overseas.
Poet Langston Hughes once wrote, "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, Life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly, Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams go, life is a barren field, frozen with snow."
Many wealthy folks live in a dream state and ignore people like Smith, whose tale of personal woe preceded Obama's acceptance speech.
He opposes John McCain because, he says, America can't afford another four years of failed GOP policies that have extended $200 billion in tax cuts to big corporations but not to the nation's 100 million families.
Our national debt has soared from $5.6 trillion to $9.6 trillion under Bush. The Republicans have overstayed their welcome and dragged us into a nightmare that must end soon, or this nation may be headed for chaos.
Obama tugged on the nation's heartstrings when he challenged McCain's tough talk and told the truth about the current policies.
Critics of the GOP believe that a four-year extension of the Bush administration will be disastrous. People are struggling, and the privileged are so out of touch they pretend it's OK that children go hungry.
Over the last eight years, we've lost 3.2 million jobs, and started a war that's cost trillions. The lies and deceit that got us into Iraq in the first place are just the tip of the iceberg and have ruined America's reputation across the globe.
Meanwhile, our economy continues to crumble, while crime, homelessness and poverty continue to soar.
Despite the fact that thousands of immigrants risk their safety to come here because this country may offer them better opportunities, the truth is that poverty lives right here in our own backyard.
Suffering is widespread as the gap between rich and poor widens. The Bush administration doesn't get it and neither does McCain. He is so out of touch that he hasn't a clue how many homes he owns, while the working class struggles to hold on to one.
The Democrats desperately need many more voters like Smith to cross party lines in order to secure the White House. Obama says electing him to the nation's highest office will not only help restore America's moral standing globally, but will lift the nation's low morale and improve our declining economy.
He promises to cut taxes for 95 percent of American workers and ease the burden for millions of families. And I believe him, although his critics say he's out of touch with the working class and blast him for not having a lineage that includes slavery.
But just because his ancestors never wore shackles, and he has paid off the student loans from his elite education doesn't mean he doesn't have compassion. Or that he doesn't understand the pain of those who live in dire poverty, who've lost their homes, who want yet can't afford college, and who lack health insurance.
His acceptance speech indicated that, unlike McCain, Obama gets it because hard times aren't so far behind him that his memory's been erased.
If McCain wins, look for a full-fledged race and class war, fueled by a deflated and depressed country, soaring crime, homelessness - and hopelessness!
Plenty of Americans would rather stay in their dream state than to recognize the poverty sweeping across the country, right here, right now.
Obama understands that people are suffering. Every week, prices go up at the supermarket, and people are unable to feed their families. It already is dark and stormy for millions, who can't even afford pencils, book bags and lunch money for their children.
But when Obama wins the White House, we may just see a revolution that can turn the tide and improve this nation for everyone, not just a select few.
And I expect him to keep his word.*

You know..I'm with her for the most part up until the promise of a race and class war.
That is a very, very, dangerous road to walk if you're pitching for Obama.
Now I understand this is a columnist editorial, doing this on their own, and has absolutely nothing to do with the campaign in any capacity.
But still...the Philly Daily News has a fairly big readership. There's a lot of people who will pick that up, and be turned off by that.

Try being honest with me.
You assumed I would never come back instead of taking me at my word that I would not wait around for a reply last night.
I have been honest with you - you earned my disrespect because you disrespected me first.
As for your PP needyness - Why did you make an appointment and not make arrangements to get there? Why did you wait until the last minute and cry to a teacher knowing you were jepordizing his own career?
I'll tell you why. Because you didn't think through your actions at that time.
It's really that simple. The government was not out to get you, and the teachers cash wasn't the only way you could be responsible for yourself; it was however the easy way out.
Keep disrespecting me because you disagree with me - I expect it from you now. Before your post I had never spoken with you; that was a fine How do you do.
You say you have been taking care of yourself since you were 16; from the little bit I have gathered on you through this discourse I am willing to bet your Boyfriends have been taking care of you, and you have no educated skills to actually take care of yourself unless you consider delivering plates of food to a restaurant table a skill. I am also willing to bet you will never make more than 35K a year, and you will always be bitter towards those whom you fear.
Maybe I'm wrong; but maybe I'm right and you feel like dogshit by now.
I hope you got what you needed from the Hitler comment because you are the first stranger to accuse me of bitterness and call me a Hitler symphathizer in one fell swoop. Hitler killed 6 Million Jews and 20 million Russians. I mispelled intelect.

Be honest here - you repeated your accusation several times after I mentioned that I consider it a slur on me personally.
Last I saw you are 110% sure I'm someone else.
You say you are not attacking me, and I will take you at your word. I will try to ignore the past and move forward; but I certainly had reason to belive your comments were meant to hurt me personally after I denied it and explained that I have no idea who it is you are labeling me as, and that I did not appreciate that.
The file sharing was meant as a dig. Basically "What have you done for me lately." I was simply educating you on who I really am to the degree that I would want you to know me.

It's really that simple. The government was not out to get you, and the teachers cash wasn't the only way you could be responsible for yourself; it was however the easy way out.
I never said the government was out to get me... I said I have sympathy for women in the same situation, and think a better approach is for the Government to step in and help early - before the situation becomes worse and you are dealing a with an STD or unplanned pregnancy.
Keep disrespecting me because you disagree with me - I expect it from you now. Before your post I had never spoken with you; that was a fine How do you do.
You're taking shit WAYYY too personally here. I lol'ed because you insulted someone's intellect and misspelled it while you were doing it. BIG FUCKING DEAL. GROW A SET.
You say you have been taking care of yourself since you were 16; from the little bit I have gathered on you through this discourse I am willing to bet your Boyfriends have been taking care of you, and you have no educated skills to actually take care of yourself unless you consider delivering plates of food to a restaurant table a skill. Ready? I took care of my entire family after my mother died at 16. I got my GED and went to work so my family could eat and keep the electricity on. I have NEVER - ever - been taken care of by a man. I've dragged myself up through Corporate through hard work and make SIGNIFICANTLY more than your quoted figure. Right now I am putting my brother through college because my father can't afford to.
Maybe I'm wrong; but maybe I'm right and you feel like dogshit by now.
I am the only person capable of making myself feel like dogshit. Don't think you have that power.
I hope you got what you needed from the Hitler comment because you are the first stranger to accuse me of bitterness and call me a Hitler symphathizer in one fell swoop. Hitler killed 6 Million Jews and 20 million Russians. I mispelled intelect.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law
Godwin's Law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies)[1] is an adage formulated by Mike Godwin in 1990. The law states:[2][3]
"As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one."
Godwin's Law is often cited in online discussions as a deterrent against the use of arguments in the reductio ad Hitlerum form.
The rule does not make any statement whether any particular reference or comparison to Hitler or the Nazis might be appropriate, but only asserts that one arising is increasingly probable. It is precisely because such a comparison or reference may sometimes be appropriate, Godwin has argued[4] that overuse of Nazi and Hitler comparisons should be avoided, because it robs the valid comparisons of their impact. Although in one of its early forms Godwin's Law referred specifically to Usenet newsgroup discussions,[5] the law is now applied to any threaded online discussion: electronic mailing lists, message boards, chat rooms, and more recently blog comment threads and wiki talk pages.

Iowa: Obama 55, McCain 40 (CNN/Time/OpinionResearch)
Minnesota: Obama 53, McCain 41 (CNN/Time/OpinionResearch)
Ohio: Obama 47, McCain 45 (CNN/Time/OpinionResearch)
MoE +/- 3.5%
I think most people expect Obama to run away in Iowa, and Ohio to be a dead heat down to the wire.
The Minnesota number is interesting, in that if Obama shows strongly enough there, he could pull Al Franken along with him, to knock of Norm Coleman for that Senate seat.

When it somes down too it, MN wont be that big. Obama +3-5. Franken is going to get blown out when people start paying attention to that race and the opp research file on him is thicker than anyone could have dreamed.

Franken won't get blown out. Way too much money in his coffers, and he has the full force of the Democratic establishment behind him up there, which figures to keep things close.
There's also a strong likelihood both Clintons will be up there campaigning for him.
The problem with that race for the Dems is that Jesse Ventura is causing a ruckus with his hand picked third party candidate for the seat, Dean Barkley.
That guy will pull at least 10% of the vote. Where his support comes from is anyone's guess, but I tend to believe it hurts Franken more than Coleman.
I have the Dems pegged to pick up six seats this election, but Minnesota is not one of them. I think Coleman will eek it out unless Obama pulls Franken through on his coattails.

Coleman's problem is that Al Franken did a pretty airtight job of conveying what happened in the aftermath of the Paul Wellstone crash and memorial and how Coleman exploited it to get elected.
If he survives this election, I think he could hold that seat for a long time. I'm not sure he'll survive, though...

Talking sternly is not really a whipping, he had was sympathetic to saddam only after he married his wife but yet he states he protested against him when he was installed as Iraqs ruler, which is it george? There was also wire transfers of $85k that his wife could not answer what they were for, the labor party then expelled him and he was only re-elected because of the anti-bush backlash.

Obama Leading North Dakota by 3 Points in Aug 23-27 Poll. Hoeven leading by 44 Points
date syndicated: Sep 3 2008 12:37PM
A poll conducted from August 23-27 by DFM Research of 400 likely voters shows Obama leading 43% to 40% with 5% Other and 12% Unsure (margin of error +/- 5%).
This is the first ND Poll since February showing Obama Leading in North Dakota. (Real Clear Politics has McCain up +3, +1, and +6 in the last 3 polls and Obama up +4 in February)
I spoke with Dean Mitchell of DFM Research Today and he stated that the poll was conducted during the DNC Convention with polling ending the day prior to Obama's speech.
The full results are listed below and it includes some polling on the Governors Race and the Insurance Commissioner Race. Hoeven leads Mathern by 44 Percentage Points (63 to 19) and Kelly Schmidt leads Mitch Vance in the treasurer race by 22% to 17% with 59% Unsure.
Normally, I would think nothing of this, and chalk it up to a typical late August poll.
But, polling has shown a close race in South Dakota (McCain 47, Obama 43) and Montana (McCain 45, Obama 44) so far this year.
So I wonder if there's some larger thing going on in that region. I know Montana's gone through something of a transformation, politically, under their Governor Brian Schweitzer.
I'd be scratching my head if I was in the McCain campaign right now. North Dakota is a state Bush won with over 60% both times.
Ultimately, I think McCain wins all three of those states, and the Dakotas pretty handily, but if those numbers hold close through September, and he has to burn a campaign visit or two touring that region to sure up those states....that's huge in the grand scheme of the campaign.
McCain has enough states to try and defend already. He can't afford to waste time making sure states he should win handily stay that way.
Georgia Representative Lynn Westmoreland reminded us that he's from Georgia today with this little nugget about the Obamas (http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/westmoreland-calls-obama-uppity-2008-09-04.html):
"Just from what little I’ve seen of her and Mr. Obama, Sen. Obama, they're a member of an elitist-class individual that thinks that they're uppity," Westmoreland said.
Asked to clarify that he used the word “uppity,” Westmoreland said, “Uppity, yeah.”
Yes, Lynn we get it, Senator Obama is black. We didn't need your codewords to figure that out.
If you remember, Lynn Westmoreland was the guy who wanted the 10 Commandments posted, but couldn't name them all when questioned by Stephen Colbert. Here is that exchange:
Stephen Colbert: What are the Ten Commandments?
Lynn Westmoreland: What are all of them?
SC: Yes.
LW: You want me to name them all?
SC: Yes.
LW: Uhhh.
LW: Ummmm. Don't murder. Don't lie. Don't steal. Ummmmm.
LW: I can't name them all.
That's quite a team you've got Senator McCain. Kudos to you!

I agree with you. Something about this doesnt jive right. I dont get it and I am not sure anyone does. Maybe Indians?

So... whats the over under on POW said in McCains speech?
what kind of name is Lynn for a man anyway?
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/36/Mr_Belvedere.jpg
Senator Obama did a nice job striking back on the community organizer belittling that the Republicans did during their convention:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3SwwO00aWqM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3SwwO00aWqM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
The killer line is:
"The question I have for them is: Why would that kind of work be ridiculous? Who are they fighting for? What are they advocating for?"
I hope they feed this line of rhetoric to all of their surrogates. It's VERY consistent with Senator Obama's convention speak that McCain is a good man but "out of touch".
If the McCain campaign thinks that Governor Hockey Mom is gonna keep up with Senator Biden then all I can say is "good luck".

The Clinton gang must be all-in this time because James Carville of all people is directly on message:
"By every economic measure known to man, Democratic Presidents have out-performed Republican Presidents. And by the way if you believe the economy was better under George W Bush than Bill Clinton you’ve got a real clear choice here.
"If you think what America needs is a tax cut for people making over half-a-million dollars a year then vote for McCain. If you think middle-class people are struggling – that their incomes are going down and they need help – vote for Obama. It’s a very simple choice".

Sarah Palin is drawing heavy criticism from Democrats.
Photo: AP
Barack Obama and his Democratic allies are intensifying their attacks on Sarah Palin, as her sustained and surprising central role in this race is upending Obama’s strategy and often overshadowing McCain.
Democratic Congressman Russ Carnahan on Tuesday – introducing Joe Biden at a campaign event – ripped into Palin’s record and punctuated it with this snarky jab. “There’s no way you can dress up that record, even with a lot of lipstick,” he said. Obama himself used similar langauge later in the day about the McCain-Palin reform rhetoric, saying "You can put lipstick on a pig," he said. "It's still a pig."

WORLD WANTS OBAMA AS PRESIDENT (http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/09/09/2360240.htm?section=world)
First, 200,000 Germans show up for a speech. Now this. The rest of the world is treating Obama with rock-star status. HE IS NOT BONO!
I never cared for what Europe's opinion on U.S. elections, never will. These kind of stories helped derail the Kerry campaign, so Obama should play down all of this adulation.
And here is the "outrageous" quote: (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080910/ap_on_el_pr/obama_lipstick;_ylt=Ag9QKmEKSqD0SVdZ0MzRhJ6s0NUE)
You can put lipstick on a pig," he said to an outbreak of laughter, shouts and raucous applause from his audience, clearly drawing a connection to Palin's joke. "It's still a pig. You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still going to stink after eight years."
But here is the irony of the phrase.
McCain has used the lipstick phrase, too.
Last year while criticizing health proposals from the Democratic presidential candidates, he said Hillary Rodham Clinton's resembled the failed plan she offered as first lady during the 1990s. "I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig," McCain of her proposal.

"The other side, suddenly, they're saying 'we're for change too'. Now think about it, these are the same folks that have been in charge for the last eight years.
"You can put lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. You can wrap up an old fish in a piece of paper and call it change. It's still going to stink after eight years. We've had enough," he said to a standing ovation.

It's not just abortion with Palin. I'm a little insulted you would think I would research only that one thing and then not continue on in depth. I read. A lot. She does not mesh with me at all.
I just saw your posts in real time that day Missy. But, if I offended you I am sorry.

I just saw the way you take the abortion issue and discounted Palin immediately based on that. That makes you a single issue abortion candidate. Oh, and just as an FYI, Palin has never forced her beleifs on anyone. She had a multitude of opportunities to pass legislation which would have restricted abortion in alaska, but didnt.
o rly?
good luck finding those judges to approve your abortion in the gigantor state of AK.
This is something I'd like to see her address in an interview - If she would pass legislature against abortion, or keep her personal belief to herself.
http://www.lifenews.com/state3460.html
Anchorage, AK (LifeNews.com) -- As the governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin hasn't had many opportunities to address the issue of abortion, but she has promoted a pro-life position when given the opportunity. Palin took her strongest stand on the issue of parental involvement and making sure parents aren't left in the dark about their daughter's potential abortion.
The Alaska legislature approved a parental consent bill to help parents know when their minor children are considering an abortion and to give them the ability to veto the abortion.
The Alaska Supreme Court eventually declared unconstitutional on a 3-2 vote.
Palin called the high court's ruling "outrageous" and asked Attorney General Talis Colberg to file legal papers asking for a re-hearing.
"She feels parental consent is reasonable because it is required in nearly every aspect of a child's life. It's a parent's right and responsibility to be involved in their child's life," spokeswoman Sharon Leighow said at the time.
Since the decision, Governor Palin appointed Daniel Winfree of Fairbanks to replace one of the judges who sided with the majority in overturning the consent statute.

Yes, that is parental notification....common sense.
Two abortion bills that failed to pass during the regular legislative session will not be added to the agenda of a special session on a natural gas pipeline, said Governor Sarah Palin. Wasilla republican and Senate President Lyda Green made the request only to receive a biting response from Palin.
Palin questioned why Green and her fellow Wasilla republican Charlie Huggins did not exercise their ability to move the bills out of committee to a floor vote in the regular session. She also suggested that the Legislature could call itself into special session to consider the parental consent and partial birth abortion bills.
A two-thirds vote would be required to pass in both the House and Senate for any session requested by a lawmaker.

You say common sense - I say pro-life legislation, especially somewhere like Alaska, where it is not going to be easy to get in front of a judge to bypass your parents.
She's also pushing through partial birth abortion bans. She is legislating against abortion.

Its not a red/blue issue. Get out of that red/blue state mindset. California is the toughest on crime and blue as can be. Alaska is very libertarian. I dont know Alaska law but I would assume that a family court is somehwere close to where people are.

"It would be funny," Obama said. "except the news media decided that that was the lead story yesterday."
He charged that "the McCain campaign would much rather the story be about phony and foolish diversions than about the future."
Obama said, "this happens every election cycle – every four years this is what we do. We’ve got an energy crisis,...we have an education system that is not working for too many of our children and making us less competitive. We have a economy that is creating hardships for families all across America. We’ve got two wars going on – veterans coming home, not being cared for. And this is what they want to talk about. This is what they want to spend two of the last 55 days talking about!"
Obama said, "You know who ends up losing at the end of the day? It's not the Democratic candidate; it’s not the Republican candidate. It's you the American people. Because then we go another year or another four years or another eight years without addressing the issues that matter to you."
"Enough!" Obama said. "I don’t care what they say about me. But I love this country too much for them to take over another election with lies, and phony outrage and Swift Boat politics. Enough is enough. These are serious times and they call for a serious debate about where to take the nation..."
"Spare me the phony outrage, spare me the phony talk about change, we have real problems in this country right now," Obama continued. "The American people are looking to us for answers. Not distractions, not diversions, not manipulations. They want real answers to the real problems we are facing. That’s the kind that I intend to have because that’s the kind of debate the American people deserve. "

Obama on tonight's Letterman: (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/09/10/obama_on_letterman_talks_lipst.html)
CHICAGO -- No, he has never put lipstick on a pig, Sen. Barack Obama told David Letterman in an appearance to be broadcast tonight on CBS's "The Late Show with David Letterman."
"But I think it might be fun to try," Obama said.
In defense of his critique Tuesday in Virginia of Sen. John McCain's pitch that he's a changemaker, Obama said, "It's a common expression in at least Illinois. I don't know about in NYC. I don't know what you put lipstick on here."
"Keep in mind that technically, had I meant it this way, she would be the lipstick," Obama added, referring to GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. "The policies of John McCain would be the pig."

For all his political fresshess Obama simply had the same fatal flaw as John Kerry. Plus an even worse path to take being he has the default challenge of "The angry black man" image to steer clear of.
There are a few weeks left. The Obama campaign I sincerely believe has no idea who they are going up against. The foulest demons from the pit of hell, all commanded by Karl Rove. Unless this changes, and changes quickly Obama will be overwhelmed.
They have to mount a serious offensive. And stop worrying about image. For them to win, even with a standing start with around 230 electoral votes the mcCain/Palin ticket must be completely blown out of the water.

Good point. Obama could be more aggressive and learn a thing or two from the Clinton Bros. However, I am glad that we chose a candidate that won't say idiotic things just to please the lowest common denomitor in American society. The moment I completely turned on Hillary Clinton was when she was asked why she, along with McCain, was trying to cut the gas tax for the summer. The interviewer said no reputable economist said this is a good idea. She responded with some stupid crap about not relying on the experts and trusting her gut. I would rather having a losing candidate who speaks intelligently about the complexities of an issue than a winning candidate whose energy policy is 'drill, baby, dril'l and foreign policy is 'you are with us or against us'.

Trent Lott praising Strom and saying the "nation would be a better place" if he would've become president isn't really in the ballpark of the lipstick comment.
Alright, I'm going to give the Obama campaign some advice:
1. Stay on message. I say it all of the time, but it's true. Stop talking about Sarah Palin, you are only enabling her unqualified ass. Make this campaign about energy, foreign and economic policy. That is all Senator Obama should be talking about.
2. Call McCain a fucking liar. Do it and do it often. One of his greatest strengths is "Straight talk" and "Maverick"...and take it away from him. Stop calling him a "good man"...and ask the hard questions about him being a freaking sell-out and a phony. Question his ads and the lies they are telling the public. (Such as electric bill taxes, sex talks with kindergarteners and more taxes for the common man.)
3. Make McCain look like a pussy. McCain's other great strength is that he is a tough guy...so take it away from him. Why is this woman fighting his battles? Goad them into a conversation about "Who is running this ticket?" This makes McCain look weak and not in charge.

Take the topic of rape kits. Governor Palin's votes don't matter, John McCain's do. So when the media asks you about the topic of rape kits:

Oh my God-McCain really fucked up with this pick for VP.
And my gut is telling me he's going to win-and that really, really pisses me off that the McCain campaign is getting away with half of this shit.

you guys are living in a bubble. It is almost like the ronfez netters are sitting in war room with no connection to people or outside information. Palin has DESTROYED the Obama ticket over the last two weeks. Poll after poll shows it. Take a deep breath and watch what has happened here. the Dems had a fucked up two weeks, now they need to breathe, calm the fuck down, stay on message and hammer away. I dont thin Obama has the discipline.

You just quoted me saying I think McCain/Palin are going to win, which means I've heard about a poll or two out there, and yet you think I live in a bubble? I told epo and Mojo LAST WEEK to make sure the Obama ticket campaigns until midnight the eve of the election like they are 10 points behind, no matter what the polling data says because they cannot afford to relax.

It's pretty easy to cherry pick opinions though, isn't it. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm sure there are differing opinions out there, regardless of party line. Finding someone who has the same opinion as you really doesn't vindicate anything.

Obama seems to be back on message:
1. McCain is a liar.
2. Obama will help the regular person.
3. McCain = Bush.
4. Obama is real change.

Senator Obama sets new record for fundraising in August: (http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601070&sid=aoxdLvZGstU0&refer=home)
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama raised more than $66 million for his campaign against Republican John McCain last month in a one-month record.
The Obama campaign added 500,000 new donors en route to surpassing a previous monthly record of $55 million, campaign spokesman Bill Burton said in an e-mail.
I guess this shoots those "rumors" by the right-wing that Obama was having trouble raising money right in the ass.

Poll Shows New York Is Possible Presidential Battleground
New York could become a surprise battleground in this year's presidential election, with Senator McCain rapidly dissolving Senator Obama's lead in the Empire State, according to a new poll.
The poll by Siena Research Institute, conducted September 8-10, found that Mr. Obama holds a narrow 46-41% lead among likely voters, barely outside the survey's 3.9% margin of error. These numbers represent a decline for Mr. Obama, who led by 8% in the same poll in August, 13% in July, and 18% in June.
I realize it's from the NY Sun, but Siena is a pretty reliable polling outfit

Who gave Senator Biden the "on message" pill? You only really need to watch the first couple of minutes to get his point.

If this election is about domestic issues, McCain is in a world of trouble. And you'll see this quote from McCain a bunch:
“The issue of economics is not something I’ve understood as well as I should.”
Obama will be up by 5 by Friday. But there is still 7 weeks to go....which is a lifetime.
Biden was an axe murderer today:
