Imagine what TB could be now. Oh they still play hard, but what a cap would have done for them would mean even BETTER pitching and not losing everyone they develop outside of a few. You can't just say LA failed and it's a solid point. LA is run by a new ownership trying to make QUICK noise and did trade a ton to get these players too. The marlins proved it can work twice, and not work another. The bottom line is the tie to money does in fact easily help your odds of winning, more so over a long season than a short season. As there is many more factors that can greatly impact a series like a key injury/injuries, hot players (pitchers especially) and coaching to name a few. However, to generalize it as idiotically as you both have, well, to say your biased it putting it lightly.
