teams benefit from these cheaters while they're all juiced up, there's no real good reason for them to police this shit, then when a guy is caught they want to get out of the contract and save money.
A combination of what Rocker said, and MLB adopting an NCAA type of approach, one where they start stripping wins and titles away from teams playing ineligible players would pretty much end this mess.

this is probably true, and I can't say for sure that it would work. The NCAA has never stripped a title, though they did strip the final 4 appearance and all the wins from the year Derrick Rose played at Memphis.
I just think that something should be done to give incentive to teams and owners for policing their own, they've won a lot of games and made a lot of money off of ARod, and now they get to turn their back on him and try to save some money because it wasn't their job, or even to their benefit to keep him clean.

I don't think that's a fair comparison. The level of competition in Japan is closer to MLB than Arena League is to NFL.

difference is there is no difference in the way Japan plays baseball vs MLB

arena league isn't even the same game as the nfl , different field dimensions , less players on the field, different rules

a better comparison would have been the usfl or the ufl if that's even still around

Looking at active wins, sabathia is right where Halliday is and just turned 33. Assuming he continues to stay healthy (never been an issue but with his weight how long will that last?) he's got a great shot. After him Felix and then it's really bleak.

that's funny stuff, and I missed the early part of the game bc I refused to slow down the JA Happenstance burn down...yet the article calling Soriano's catch, as did Singleton and Kay live, an terrific one is hilarious. he read the ball terribly, turned the wrong way turned back and made what should have been a routine fly ball out well before the track a circus show. it wasn't spectacular as it was a train wreck with the normal happy ending for spank fans. pun intended.

Its very hard for a former power pitcher to adjust losing it.
