Wow. That collapse was Norv-worthy.

SD had no answer for Johnson and the run game. Then they either ran out of timing plays or just gave up on them and it was foolish.

I won't explain myself, but I will tell you this. If it doesn't pertain to you (which I feel the case) then you don't need to know. Also you don't need to troll over it. And bring out those other assad hats that are on my troll list.

You/anyone can go in and give beef pertaining to the team as much as you want. Trolling over something that's not pertinent is a shit move and will get you nowhere with me but maybe on my troll list (ignore list).

I have gone on other teams threads and made (what i thought were friendly) jabs/barbs. But never troll over some bull shit/understanding, I don't care much for that team that's why I gave jabs/barbs.

I find the flash cards the eggels use to send play call fascinating. I saw a homer simpson one last night. Also the upscale speed of the chip kelly offense made me take notice of vicks throwing style (no wind up at all). It looks the opposite of tebow (big time wind up)

If im David Wilson this signing tells me they have confidence in me. Brandon Jacobs isnt an NFL rb at this point.

NFL coaches have to relax a little when it comes to pulling a rb. Fumbles happen. So do picks. Ridley fumbles in the 2nd and doesnt see the field again. Thats absurd. Wilson fumbles last year, he doesnt sniff the field again till week 9. But dont worry, Eli the golden boy will throw 2 more picks this weekend. (Most turnovers by any QB in the last 5 years.)

Im not saying pull Eli. Im saying give the kid time.

and neither of the fumbles were him being a showboating douche or not taking care of the football
they were both forcibly striped out as he was Being tackled

and I agree
Jacobs was signed as a stop gap betw now and the time brown can come back

if they signed magahee then he'd have to worry about his spot for this year which is prolly why they didn't sign him or Dwyer or Hightower

I was wondering why he wouldn't wear #27 again, then I saw that a guy on the IR already had it (Stevie Brown).

But, then I see that the other guy on IR (Laron Scott) is #34, so I guess I don't get it.

I agree with this all the way. It seemed silly to pull the RB that was your workhorse and stud all year last season in NE for what essentially was caused by the turf giving out under his feet and no contact so he wasn't exactly covering up/protecting the ball. He fell oddly and it happened, but pulling him was crazy to me. Seeing how Vereen played (preseason and later that game) makes me think they were just waiting for the opp. Yet now you have one back out until AT LEAST week 11 and another scared to death of losing a ball so expect a whole lot of 2.5 yard runs as he puts both hands on the ball and protects it to a fault from here on in. Ridley has to have almost zero confidence now...nice work bb.

Ridley has fumbled a lot, and he fumbled earlier in the game, but the team recovered it. He was benched after he fumbled a second time. And he was benched last year after fumbling, too.

Vereen and Ridley were drafted the same year (Vereen was actually drafted before him), but Ridley has barely stayed ahead of him. Vereen hasn't really had ball control problems, but he hasn't seen nearly the time Ridley has.

Ridley will be back starting next week. The #2 now is Blount, and he looked terrible last game. No way he's starting (I say that knowing full well BB will probably start him).

In 1985, Paulucci sold his Jeno's Pizza Rolls brand to Pillsbury for $135 million. The Jeno's line of pizza rolls was rebranded as Totino's in 1993...produce about 1.4 million pizzas a day and sell an average of about 240 million each year.

I understand that...

ELI was TERRIBLE his first few games.

But you can't call a 3 pick 26.7 qb rating solid...

He does have SHIT receivers and no running game.. Which is why you get a solid vet and sit him a year or two until he learns and you get better talent.

Agreed. In fact, he lunged at the spot he was trying to go by in the field, and that when Talib turned out of bounds. Not easy to stop that train with a ton a weight.

Sanchez QBR 32 --------Geno QBR 27

bullshit, he was over 80 the week before and let's be honest in that his receivers dropped A LOT and the weather was horrible for a passing attack...good thing the Jets were smart enough to run the ball in such conditions with a rookie qb in his second game. Jets wouldn't have even been in the game if Sanchez was playing. The last time they did with Sanchez vs NE they lost 49-19 in what I think was the but fumble game. Not to mention Geno has an excuse, his arsenal is more depleted with this team and he's in his second game...yet still awful as I mentioned.

NY (state) 19.4 million
NJ 8.8 million
Conn 3.6 million

NY Metro area listed as between 19-22 million people

interesting data, but hardly anyone's point except your backlogged bullshit linked to nothing

Canada has a population of ~ 34 million too so WHAT THE FUCK TORONTO!!!

Lets SIDE STEP the fact that NY has TWO baseball teams...

Lets half that 19.4... 9.2 +4.2 + half of 1.7 850k or so

THAT MAKES 14. 2MILLiON!

Lets see NEW ENGLAND

Connecticut 3,574,097 3,405,565 168,532 4.9%
Maine 1,328,361 1,274,923 53,438 4.2%
Massachusetts 6,547,629 6,349,097 198,532 3.1%
New Hampshire 1,316,470 1,235,786 80,684 6.5%
Rhode Island 1,052,567 1,048,319 4,248 0.4%
Vermont 625,741 608,827 16,914 2.8%

New England 14,444,865+ lets take 1.7 out of Conn its still 12.7mil

ooooooooooooooooops... Guess who's wrong but will find some bullshit to say he is right again...

And also no one in Toronto gives a fuck about the Blue Jays

and also, now "yankee country" counts for Boston?

funny how that works now that the actual number get presented

plus you're batting 0 for 3 with that halving "math"
Lets half that 19.4... 9.2 +4.2 + half of 1.3 650k

one can only ASSUME you think half of 19.4 = 9.2, half of 8.8 = 4.2 and half of 3.6 = 1.3 which somehow gets halved again to 625k! that there is some good shit!

must be albanian math...1 goat + 2 butter churns = your sister

Alright, I have to ask this as the argument really irks me every time it's mentioned on TV.

Why is it that with blows to the head outlawed, everyone says they now have to target the knees? Unless I'm confused on basic anatomy, aren't there areas in between? Umm, like the fucking midsection.

What is so hard about going for this area to try and make a tackle? Why does it have to be either the head or the knees and nothing else according to these "experts"?

Agreed.

If you're talking about hits on an upright QB in the pocket, sure, there's a lot of other real estate to aim for.

But if you're talking about hitting a "defenseless" receiver, and if the receiver is going low for a catch, or lowering their head (which is an uncontrollable reaction for most when anticipating a hit), or trying to take down a running back, which most are taught to keep their pad level down at all times.... that doesn't leave the defender many other options but to go low (in the knee area), or else they're risking a fine or suspension by making contact with the head, even when they intended to go for the mid-section or "numbers".

Not quite the same deal the Cowboys got for Hershel, but not a bad trade IMO.

I cussed the 'rent richardson pick when it happened, and am really not very sad to see him go now. I'm just not a big believer in wasting a first round pick on a RB.

He wasn't going to make or break this team this year.

Now they get to double up next year, and I'm hoping they can finally do something with those picks.

but the bottom line is this time it's going to be different and they toss aside a guy who has proven to run well in the NFL with VERY LITTLE HELP

Indy says thanks and enjoy your 22-25th pick where knowing the Browns, they'll take a shittier RB. Even allowing for such a comp would be stupid. I'm sure Turner convinced the coach and team Richardson didn't just want to pass block all day for a shitty qb making shitty passes to a shitty wide receiving crew. Nice work shitland. Just for this, I hope the Indians miss the playoffs and Balt takes the last spot.

But the problem I have is both players and analysts alike have specifically said if they can't go for the head, then they have to go for the knees. Not, "I'm going for the midsection, but I might hit the knees."

Unfortunately, yes. Yes, I am.

This fucking franchise should be forced to be called something else. Not the "Browns".

Other than being in the same city, there is zero to tie this team to the one that became the Ravens.

After the leg-up that the NFL gave to Carolina and Jax when they were awarded franchises, with all of the "expansion draft" picks they got from the unprotected players, resulting in immediately legit teams (both made conf champ game in year TWO!)

My dumbass fell right back in love with this new "Browns" team, and having Carmen Policy and Dwight Clark running things... and based on how well the last two expansion teams fared... I had high hopes.

Couldn't have been farther from reality. It started with fucking Tim Couch, and never ended. The only Browns jersey I own now and dare wear in public is a #73 Joe Thomas, one of the only first round picks that has ever worked out for them.

I'm getting older, and more patient, and I'm once again holding out some hope that they will do something with 2 first round picks next year (and like you said, 7 in the first 4 rounds, 10 total? I think). I just want to see them IN a fucking superbowl in my lifetime. Winning one would be a bonus.

Watching Pats/Falcons... I don't think I've ever seen this before. Brady calls the play, and the center turns around and says "What?"

How about the huge play that bb wanted to challenge but he couldn't bc the replay vid wasn't working!? Wtf was that!? Seriously nfl?! Wow.

Isn't it fun when your qb gets zero protection, you have no run game and your oc is an idiot?!! Not on manning completely just as it wasn't on Rivers. You get that yet?

That was pretty fucked up. But that "what" play was just funny as SHIT! I had to rewind it a couple of times to make sure I was actually seeing/hearing that.

So we're going way back now? Why stop there, let's go to the jams brooks and chuck muncie days too while we're at it. Rivers almost never had a good run game and he was assaulted the last few years bc of it, an awful line and coach who made zero adjustments in play calling. THAT is the point.

i would give him a pass today. You could throw 1000 INTs and if you score 48 points as an offense, you did your fuckin job. Besides, every QB throws bad INTs late in games tryin to make plays. Eli did it 3 times just fuckin today

I would have agreed if the owners and GM did not issue an ultimatum that things have to stop going the way they had been going. Mainly the 2nd half swoons.

As for the talent. Sure the DBs and LBs are not that good, but where they do have talent on is the D line and they are just not performing. That falls under the coordinator and ultimately the coach.

When the Dline gets no pressure whatsoever, I do not care who is in the 2nd and 3rd levels, you will get beat. These QBs have time to make a sandwich out there.

Coughlin should have known especially after last year that Gilbride was just a putrid OC. But he still kept him. The offense has had way to much talent to struggle to score they way they have had under Gilbride.

Also I remember when Tom came in he made a snide remark about injuries and it being connected to coaching and preparation. Well that has been getting progressively worse each year with this year culminating to disaster levels.

There is a difference on going 2-14 and just being terrible and there is a difference on going 2-14 and being just a clusterfuck with preparation, play calling and effort. Jags are just a terrible football team, Giants are a disgrace of a football team.

For those reasons, and Cowher who is a guy who the Giants feel is a "Giants" guy, and him being on their family team in the Steelers, waiting in the wings, I think Coughlin is gone, If this play continues.

taking bias out of it, what team is the biggest letdown thus far?

Pittsburgh Rapists, Washington Racists, New York Coke & Swiss Lines, The Houston Pick 6's or Atlanta Melted Ices IF they loose today?

he's gone in my mind...just a good time to reset and he's not long for coaching even IF he surprises us for the second half. he'd almost have to go 10-1/9-2 (BDC special) and make the playoffs to stave this off in my mind, and it isn't happening.

I don't think Pitt was really slated to be any good no? With their aging D and losses to FA. You had to see the let down of Wash after the RG3 injury. The others have not shown they could make it to the Next level.

So I say the Giants.

Let me ask you this.. When HAS anyone expected the Giants to do anything?

Every year including the SB ones the Giants have been picked to be mid pack.

And even on both playoff runs, they were picked against in every round...

The Giants may not have been SB favs, but surely contenders for the playoffs as is/was Pitt simply based on vet SB MVP QBs leading what seemed to be solid teams. As for the skins, PLENTY were on their hype train even though I'm still convinced they were smoke and mirrors last year and Atlanta and Houston were clear SB top teams according to odds, despite iffy D for Atlanta and Schaub at QB for Houston. They don't have to be winless to be disappointing. I hate the Jets, but they are EASILY overachieving and Rex/MM deserve a ton of credit. For a guy about to be out of a job, he's getting a ton out of that team.

Again, sure Pitt wasn't expected to light up the league just like NE this year, but look at the difference with vet qbs and very good coaching. Pitt with no wins at this point is a HUGE disappointment in a division with a Trent Richardson-less Browns tied for the lead.

I tend to agree, especially when you add in how they actually SHOULD have lost both the SD and Indy games. They won both on the last play of the game after being down bad and one in OT. Of their three losses, two were blow outs and the third a loss at home after a HUGE lead. They are in trouble as Schaub looks terrible and the D isn't playing well overall.

some similarities really, bc up until last week (4) they had no rushing game and terrible pass blocking

now with Bell it will surely get better and I expect a healthy rebound soon

enough to get it the race? that depends on how bad the rest of the division plays

the pitt bye week was not kind as all their competition won to go over .500 (3-2)...still only 2 out in the loss column (0-4)
