Me too when I'm paying attention, but if not, or I'm watching a lot of games, I just open up the full scores page. If something is heating up somewhere, I can open up that gameday or run to my DTV and put any game on. I have a system that is flawless my son, for all sports.
I wouldn't doubt it sir. Just trying to inform the others that might not be so adept.

The fact that Willis knows everyone will be watching means trouble for the Mets. He can really get up for big games even in bad years. Not to mention Glavine is really slowing down and could have used the rest going into the playoffs. Now they need him to be sharp just to get there.

Pedro says that he'll pitch on short rest if theres a play in game on Monday. Thats gonna be really hard for him since he's been goin on an extra day lately so it will be two days earlier for him.

Willis (10-15 5.20) vs. Glavine (13-7 4.14 )
Bergmann (6-5 4.33) vs. Moyer (13-12 5.15)
You have to wonder why the Manuel treated THIS game as if it was the elimination game by using so many guys and all of his best guys (Myers, Gordon, Lohse, Romero) in the bullpen. Now they have Moyer going tomorrow, who will give you 6 innings if you're lucky. May be a factor, may not. But if you're a Philly fan you'd like to have the option of a rested bullpen. Unrested bullpens have a tendency to blow up in your face. Especially since their bullpen is sketchy to begin with. I understand he was going for it right there, but he was trailing the entire game. Its not like he was trying to preserve a lead, he didn't have one.
With the great effort by Maine, the Met bullpen should be fine.

Story (http://www.twincities.com/walters/ci_6998766)
The Twins don't have to trade Cy Young Award winner Johan Santana this winter, but they are expected to shop the left-handed pitcher who can become a free agent after next season. There will be more of a market for Santana, 28, this winter than next July before the trade deadline. The New York Mets, run by Omar Minaya, remain the strong favorite to acquire him if he leaves.

Who do you blame more, Met fans. Willie or Omar?
I think its Omar, hands down. He did nothing to fix this team at the trading deadline, and the flaws were there from day 1. Basically, this team had a bad bullpen and was old and ran out of gas down the stretch.
Willie tried all year to wake this team up, said they were "lackadasical" and they cant afford to be that way. He benched Reyes for not playing hard. He did what he could.

That would get it done. The Twins need an OF with Tori Hunter leaving, and need some pitching to replace Santana. Have to extend him though, and that will cost you around 20 mil per, maybe as high as 25.
lleeder
09-30-2007, 12:49 PM
Omar is the golden boy he will never pay for this. I think its clearly his fault but I'm not a Mets fan. Willie needs to have his own guys in there to suceed. Get rid of Rick Peterson and let him choose his staff.

I agree that this was Glavine's last year. We have to figure that the lineup next year as of right now will be Pedro, Maine, Perez, and Pelfrey. I think ElDuque is gone, and they may add an arm or two for the 4th or 5th spot.
I figure in the field and on the bench Valentin is gone. Delgado might be gone, but I really dobt that cause we need to get at least one more season out of him. Conine is gone, Green is gone. LoDuca is gone.

i like how yankee fans are on here equating this to being somehow worse than the yanks losing 4 straight to boston. Their most hated rivals... With rivera on the mound...Two straight nights... Then watching them celebrate at yankee stadium... in a final game blowout...Then watching them sweep the world series...Forever losing the 1918 chant.
This collapse hurt no doubt. Willie mismanaged the bullpen down the stretch. He shares plenty of blame. People calling saying that they want him throwing tantrums is a bit absurd. He's not a very good ingame manager...then again neither is Torre. So what do you expect??
Omar, STOP SIGNING AND EXTENDING CONTRACTS (Mota) TO ANY AND EVERY HISPANIC YOU COME ACROSS.
Hearing the comment that gary cohen relayed about delgado ("we're so good sometimes we get bored") fuck you carlos, i hope that fractured hand ends your career. I really don't need a poor fielding first baseman that hits .255.
Reyes...well i'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to all yankee fans for even making comparisons to Jeter early in the year. Apparently dancing and complicated handshakes don't win championships. Oh and nice job hiding behind Alomar yesterday, you fucking coward.
Glavine?? .1 innings pitched?? are you fucking kidding me?? He was shit his last 3 starts. Maybe he's happy he got 300 and he'll be on his way.
Pedro, I look forward to a full year of full health. Hopefully management won't put a pitch count on you next year and skip starts trying to preserve you for the playoffs which we werent even fucking in.
We as fans were kidding ourselves thinking this team was any good. We got swept by the phillies twice and blew 5 run leads to the fucking nationals and the marlins. Fuck this team, they didn't deserve it.
I'm going to watch my 86 team dvd and it will all be better.

I also was hoping for another subway series. 7 up with 17 left to play AND having the lead all season in the division is a lot to swallow. and yet no talk about willie getting fired.

it wasnt willie's fault that the bullpen blew all those leads
he did make some bad decisions but he has to play the hand he's dealt
