In a way not surprising since the Marlins have a history of building teams then selling their players off. I think that was the main reason why Pujols didnt sign with them even though their offer was more than what the Angels gave him. There wasn't a no trade clause.

On MLB a couple of weeks ago they were talking about it and they said that it could happen and have more close rivalries like Dodgers and Angels, Cubs White Sox etc.


If that were to happen MLB would probably want all fields basically the same for example every stadiums deep center would be 400 ft. That's what I like about baseball each stadium has its own unique features / distances. Some are better suited for hitters some for pitchers

Which is why I want them to take a wrecking ball to Fenway. The place is awful for lefty pitchers and great for right-handed power hitters. I love Fenway for a lot of reasons but tear the fucking place down and make a park comparable to the rest of the league.

He had a horrendous postseason last year. It was a slump. It happens. He hit like .350 and 4or5 hrs against Texas in 2010, .320 and 2hrs in 5 games against Detroit in 2011.

The WBC cannot be both good and tied to MLB, because no one in MLB really gives a shit especially during spring training when they're just coming back and not warmed up.

I would spend two weeks or so going to games in each city and not having a hometown allegiance I adopted the Astros as my NL team and the Jays as my AL team. Obviously I dropped the Jays as soon as the Devil Rays came to town, but I always had a soft spot in my heart for my old NL love. The first non spring training game I remember going to was an Astros/Dodgers matchup in the old Astrodome when I was three. I actually loved that hideous building. Still do.

Also, I refuse to recognize the official opening of the season until the Reds throw their first pitch.
