as for the others, i hadn't noticed kathleen stopped blogging, but her blog was a run-down of the show and her musings there-on (sorta a mini one-woman listening thread), but i definitely stand by the listening threads being a ron&fez forum. on a good week o&a get maybe 6 pages while r&f get over a hundred. dr steve got what, 18 whole posts? the overwhelming majority of posts in that forum are r&f based.

Ask The Oracle is part of the That's Life portion of the board. When I became moderator of this forum, I was told the rules of That's Life applied to Ask The Oracle, to the extent the thread poster is asking a serious life question.

I understand and will get clarification/confirmation one way or the other. The easiest answer may be to move the thread in question to That's Life: The Forum, where it probably should have been in the first place.

The issue with non-joking in the That's Life forum(s) comes from the thought that you don't joke when people are asking questions/posting personal things about their lives. In Ask the Oracle, that's the only way I've been handling it. If you're asking the oracle about non-personal questions, then joking is permitted. And given the nature of the politics thread, you're really not going to see someone posting a thread about something personal that's also political.
