Could it be your detergent? Maybe it doesn't always rinse out as well as it should?
He's doing good. He's getting sick of raking leaves  I swear we are somehow accumulating more leaves than our trees can lose. And the trees are not done yet. Mold is definitely annoying. As long as it is not black mold it's dealable though. I don't think our mower can mulch things. I'll have to look for that feature when this mower goes.

it's run of the mill mildew and i can't bleach it cuz there are bushes below, i need a power washer thingy, but they are so fucking loud

I have an electric power washer that rocks. I use it for cleaning the underside and engine of my truck, power washing the deck so I can retreat it every other year, and have even sprayed a guy soliciting for an alarm company.

I am pooped. Had a bad wheel bearing from sand and water getting past a seal so I had to fix it yesterday. I did not finish until today and had to spend the night out at the 3 acres. But, luckily I keep my sleeping bag, a cooler, beer, water, toilette paper, and my truck can run 120 volts. I was set last night. Now I am just sore and need to go get me another beer.

My hands are slightly numb from operating the power washer in the above pic. It puts out 4 gallons per minute @ 3000psi and is propane fired. The nozzle on the end put out a straight stream, but rotates at a high rate of speed causing a vibration that leaves your hands numb. The thing will peel paint, chew through wood, or clean hog shit.

Bet your arms are sore from holding it against pressure. Otherwise that thing is powerful enough to disable a roadside bomb.

I am not big on killing things, I think all life is sacred and I have a deep respect for the animals I hunt. I also only kill what I am going to eat or for protection, kind of that circle of life thing. If I do not want to kill at that moment then I love to observe, it is very peaceful.

Next to goats and chickens, they are the dumbest animals we eat. Chickens know to eat, fuck, and how to make a mess. Goats, you can whack em in the head with a shovel and still get the same stupid look, and cows cant even avoid holes to keep from breaking their own legs, hell buzzards are smarter than cows because they know to peck at the hoof and it disables the calf.

Hey budday Dave, I will be heading up soon. I have to work a bit more on the front end of my truck, and will likely take it in on Monday and concede defeat. I can not quite pinpoint what the issues are other than I did fix one issue with replacing the bearings. It just does not feel quite right and I do not want to take chances, that truck is my baby. After that, if I do not spend all my money then I am taking my cousin up for 4 days of drinking, hunting, and whatever else we can find.

toyota makes some of the best, most long lasting trucks on the road. I had a Pre Tacoma that had 276k on it when I sold it, still mechanically excellent.
F 150 is good to (2010's are NICE), I love my 350 diesel dually, Ford makes a solid truck. But for most city runabout the Toyota will dominate in value, economy and longevity, but that is just my humble opinion.

Mine is a 2000 with the 7.3 and a tuner. I love it, not to mention that off the line it will run with a stock 5.0 mustang, and it gets 20+mpg running empty on the highway. I will drive this truck until it dies, rebuild it and do it again. 7.3 is an awesome motor. 6.0 not so much. You probably made a good choice on that one. 6.0 has had tons of major problems. Good bunch of guys.

I am a member of http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/index.php
although I don't post there much. There is a ton of smart guys there, and I have picked their brains a few times  Some of the powerstroke guys go way out building Hp. I just don't have the money. I bought the tuner because I knew from research it would pay itself off in a year with economy savings, and it has. My dad kind of scoffed at the idea but he is a purist, he can not deny that when I put it on race mode and gave him a ride he went to permagrin
I am awaiting the inevitable torque converter and tranny issues but I will just upgrade when I have to, and when the engine dies I will learn how to rebuild a diesel. I have built about 10 gas motors but diesel is something new to me so I am reading a lot and planning to buy the service manual, for the inevitable issues. I love it and I never want another gasoline truck. I would not tow my boat with anything less than my truck. Have I shown you my boat yet?

Hey Greg, hope turkey day was good for you. I am Ford biased and my buddy has a 09 F150 4x4 that does great on the highway. It's fully loaded, rides nice, and the backseat is comfortable. I could give you a dozen more reasons, but that's a start and you really have to test drive to realize the F150 is a better truck.

What is wrong with your truck... what "doesn't feel quite right" ?

When last at my place I had got mud and water between the wheel seals and into the hub so it burnt the bearings. It is quad shock front end and I know I also need to replace the front end bushings and get an alignment. But there is something clunking
up there so I wonder if it is a shock or what.

Mine is a 2000 with the 7.3 and a tuner. I love it, not to mention that off the line it will run with a stock 5.0 mustang, and it gets 20+mpg running empty on the highway. The new diesel kicks ass with a low stage and high stage turbo. Ford worked out all the kinks in that engine for the 09 and 10 models.

I know he made the right choice and confident that he will be very happy with the truck.

I think he made the right choice as well.

I don't think he'll be doing much off roading, though.

The main reason he likes pickups is because he and his wife have a vacation home up in Vermont and he's constantly bringing things back and forth from Jersey to up there - snow blowers, tools, etc.

He needs the 4WD because of the weather up there more than anything else.

Ha!

By the way...my buddy picked up a BRAND NEW 2010 F-150 yesterday!

Extended cab, 4WD.

He said the Ford dealership was a lot more willing to negotiate than Toyota.

I think he made the right choice.

That is a NICE truck. My Dad has the new f450 dually with the 6.4 Diesel it has a beautiful interior and options package that mom likes too.. The new models really focused on making the interior more luxurious.

Absolutely. He's even got Microsoft SYNC, bluetooth, etc.

Tons of creature comforts that you'd never associate with a pickup truck.

It almost makes me want one...

Then the F150 was a much better choice with more cargo room and imo a better and proven 4x4 system in the Dana components.

Pickups really are cars with cargo room these days.

I can't imagine being w/o 4wd. I'd be struck constantly.

I to would be stuck. My lil Ford Ranger up in the woods rarely gets stuck in part due to a short wheelbase/narrower foot print and I know where I can not take her. Right now, until I fix the low spots and the culvert the Ranger mostly collects fire wood.

Eh, it's never stopped me before but there's a catch. My tools and the Chilton manual is located at the 3 acres which will be a mud puddle and I do not want to tear it up taking my truck through there. So, I think I am going to go get some more beer, an extra pack of smokes, do a bit of job hunting, then fuck around with whatever. It's my b-day any way so why not, right?

The guy I raise pigs for had a power outage at his nursery. 1700 head of pigs suffocated when his back up ventilation system failed. He's been losing money for some time on hogs in part due to misinformation on the H1N1. I don't think his insurance covers that type of lose. The average value of that size pig was probably around $35. I can't tell you what he lost considering he would have sold them as fully grown market hogs.

He had a really bad day. Oh, and now my building sits empty because most of those were head to me.
