Struff's whole modification and of the O&A forum this year was bullshit. Then I get an infraction and threated with a banning in March for posting a well thought out opinion regarding the show that did not toe the party line and he goes ape shit. I try to rationally argue my case and got a three day ban. Fuck him.

Leadbelly just sucked ass.

The other two I will be careful in naming because one is here and he is not worth the fight.

I argued the case regarding styck's banning and was attacked by the last two for doing so. FBA was not supposed to be censorship but it sure turned into it and it was loosing people everyday.

Struff running a messageboard is going to be a disaster because not only can he not handle when people have a different opinion, when you do disagree with him, he takes it on such a personal level.

so he started a thread wanting Styckx banned. At this point, only Struff and I were really participating in the mod forum (and I gave Struff props that at least he gave a fuck, unlike every other mod in the peanut gallery). And at that point, I did believe that Styckx "Haterz personality" was becoming forced and embarrassing. But still, FBA is suppose to be the site where you aren't banned for opinions. But we were discussing the point, i would say how styckx shouldn't be banned and Struff will always start his next post with a sarcastic "oh wait, you're Gaz you can never be wrong you're always right..." and then say something about how Styckx has scared off so many people from posting (and I always thought, if you are "scared off" of FBA for someones opinion, then FBA isn't the messageboad for you)

What Leadbelly did was just ban Styckx because he wanted to. The thing was, the admins clearly didnt give a shit who did what and Struff was a dope for even starting a ban styckx thread in the first place...if he was smart he wouldve just done it and no one would notice. I told Leadbelly that he is a pussy if he doesn't post and own up to his actions..and he did, he posted that he was the one to ban him.

Then I wrote something to put users like you at ease...about how a mod just banned him one day without telling anyone and that isn't the way things are normally do here. Struff freaked out over that post, saying I was undermining every mod on the board and I got so much shit for that. I said I was just trying to comfort the users who think they are going to be banned for having an opinion. Dirty Joe wrote something like "fuck those whining pussies, we don't have to explain anything to them, we don't have to cottle our users". I felt like no one was giving a shit about the users. I was being accused of having a giant ego, but I felt like I was the only one trying to uphold the purpose that FBA stood for.

I never understood why people like Struff were attracted to FBA in the first place..he is clearly a wackbagger. It is beyond me how someone can be so intimidated by opinions that aren't personal. I'll disagree with a philosophy on how to run a messageboard and he'll write "I can't deal with this drama for the rest of the day". Drama? Its opinions on running a fan site

Anyway, thats my perspective of the story of the final days of FBA. I believe when Styckx was banned, it was a big mistake because after it, everyone just seemed to fight with eachother..FBA members were board and bloodthirsty and they no longer had a person to shit on so we started shitting on eachother. Then the site blew up and I still believe it was the right thing to do

I didn't, Gaz, because I thought it was fucking stupid. And rather than argue with other mods that were supposed to be helping a site run better, I just stood out of it. There was only one section on that whole board that anyone tried to moderate. Struff posted the rules of that section after it had gotten way out of hand with bitch threads... NOT discussion threads, bitch threads. Thread after thread became you and Nikl or whoever or and whoever insert-your-own-fucking-name shitting on each other back and forth. Forgive me if it wasn't you at any point but I really don't care and stopped giving a shit and since no matter what the MODSdid everyone would whine and complain anyway. "You guys don't do anything!" I just wanted to let you know that despite what GAZ may have told you, it
was not I who banned you at FBA. While I did support it along with everyone
else (everyone voted yes except for GAZ), I was not the one who initiated
it or who pulled the trigger. If you didn't see it in the thread about you,
Leadbelly fessed up to it all. As far as I was concerned, you and I sort of
had the agreement that you would stay close to the topic of the thread
titles in the O&A forum, and you did a fairly good job of that after we
talked about it.

But anyway, that's all done and gone now. You're welcome to hang out on my
message board as much as you want (and I actually would like to have you
around). Just please don't trash the place. This is all I ask. And if you

Well if your weather is anything like ours right now, its a great day for a ride. Everything here is good, just taking it easy today, I'm gonna make macaroni salad later to go with the bbq chicken we are having.
And for some reason, my neighborhood is swarming with Jehovah's witnesses. We were walking back from D&D, and saw about 6 of them heading to the next block over. Turn our corner, there are 6 in front of our house, and 3 at the house next to ours. We cut across our neighbor's lawn, ducked behind our Rhododendron bush, and snuck in the side door. I really didn't want to get into the whole "I'm an atheist, thank you not interested" routine.

When I was in high school, I was taking a religion class, and I did a report on the Jehovah's Witnesses. My dad and I had to stop by their church to get some of their literature because this was prior to the days of the availability of the internet. I think we had to give them an address to get the stuff. My dad said it was literally years before they stopped calling the house and stopping by.

Yeah, once they think you exhibit an interest, they never leave you alone. My boss's older son was a philosophy/religion major in undergrad, and he invited them in to talk about religion one time. They still come to my boss's house occasionally looking for his son, who hasn't lived at home in about 8 years.
I went to school with a few over the years, both in HS and college. Nice girls, didn't protheletize (my only issue, I'm okay with religions as long as they don't push their beliefs on others). But I did feel bad for them in a way. Very sheltered girls.
